Feeling stumped when a Jehovah's Witness comes to your door? Here are 3 questions you can ask.

For more Jehovah's Witness content on what they believe or dealing with their arguments, you can check out the JW playlist, or go to the main page of the channel.

Questions:
------------------
1. Did Jesus return invisibly and appoint his faithful slave?
- They will say yes, but respond Matthew 24:26 says not to trust people that say that.

2. Are you a child of God?
- They will say no. Ask what child are they, since the Bible only gives two categories of children, good and bad. Galatians 4 shows how there is only 1 class of Christian.

3. Can I read the Bible on my own, and come to an accurate truth?
- They are forced to say no, use 2 Timothy 3:16, or 1 John 2:27, which says all we need is scripture, and it's the Holy Spirit's job to teach us, not men.

When the Witnesses knock on my door, I politely tell them I'm busy and to please give me their home address, and that I'll drop by their house unannounced in a few days to "talk about The Word." They always look at me strangely and reply, "I'm not giving you my home address, " to which I respond, "Why not? You have my address." They end up leaving.

They knocked on my door one Saturday morning and I was so hung over, I answered the door naked, they haven’t been back since.

Question 4: What did Jehovah do that was so bad to require so many witnesses?

When I went to a door I was asked if I believed Acts 2: 38. I said yes. I was asked if I received the gift of the Holy Spirit. When it was obvious I was stumped they said, figure out and come back and we will talk further. It was a few months later I left the "organization".

I like how you not only teach us the arguments to make BUT also the counter arguments to anticipate and what our response to those should be.

Nooo, I will not argue with those cultists in ANY WAY, everybody has already made their minds up anyway so what's there to prove? I am a Follower Of Jesus and that's what really matters!🤷

Also when talking to them keep in mind that apologetics isn’t so much about convincing people of the faith as much as it is about *defending* the faith. Ultimately it’s the Holy Spirit’s job to convict them because He’s much better at that than we are.
We as humans have infinitely less knowledge & patience than the Holy Spirit. So when we fail to convince someone because we forgot something or couldn’t keep our patience we get angry and think we failed apologetics when in reality we just missed the point of apologetics: to “give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you…”

Last time they came, I told them
"God is already here, I don't need you."

You only need ask one question: What must I do to be saved? If the answer is anything other than Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, you're dealing with a false teacher. This works for all regions, not just JWs

Many years ago they came to my door. My daughter was 3 and standing behind me. I started arguing with them (wish I hadn't) - one of the ladies started screaming at me that the world was going to end soon. They scared my daughter and she started crying. I told them to never show up at my house again. Jesus lives in my heart. They quickly left.

When Mormons knocked on my church friend's door, an interesting encounter unfolded. He greeted them by saying, "I have been expecting you. I read about you in the Bible, which warns about false prophets." This unexpected response seemed to catch the two Mormon ladies off guard. Despite their initial surprise, they left him a pamphlet and departed promptly.

My friend did this when a JW family (dad, mom, yiung daughter). She kept them on the porch, making small talk until she said, "Is this your daughter? She's precious." The couple beamed while she knelt down to get on the kid's level and said, "Did you know your mommy and daddy are in a cult? When you're older, if you can find your way back here, I'll give you sanctuary and help you with emancipation."

She was never bothered again.

They never knock at my door now - not since my husband asked them if they knew where HIS church was? They naturally said no, to which he replied, "Well I know where yours is, so go away and don't come back until you've found out about mine!" At which point he quietly closed the door!

Have not had JWs or LDSs at my door in years. About 35 years ago I was a Marine stationed on O’ahu. I had duty on Saturday (24 hrs), so I was tired Sunday morning. Went to bed once I got home. JWs came to my door about 11. Ticked me off because they woke me up and I figured they were making their rounds at that time to catch ‘reprobates’ who were not in church. My house was rather small, so I stuck my head out my bedroom window and addressed them as they stood on my front steps and told them to PLEASE leave me alone. I had been up most of the night due to MILITARY commitments, protecting THEIR freedom. And I would normally be in CHURCH at that hour and did not believe as they believed. Can’t remember their response….I went back to sleep! 😴

I had young children to protect from these maggots of corrupted texts, and that was more important to me than anything.

JWs appeared at my door. I told them to make a note of my address and publicise to all their local group that if they called at my door I might well become violent.

I then ran at them screaming.

That was 35 years ago. I've seen them come down our street since then, but they never knock at my door.

I had a couple of JW men come to my house on several occasions decades ago trying to convince me, but they always left confused and upset.
The came one day with a converted Christian woman (CCW). I guess they thought they would be able to use her to convince me.
The conversation went something like this; CCW as she offered me a Watchtower mag while the JWs stood smugly behind her: I was a Christian until I started attending their home studies.
Me: May I have one of your bibles?
CCW: No, that it would be too expensive if we gave one to everyone that asked.
Me do you read the Bible?
CCW: We didn't have the understanding to read the Bible on our own. That's why the Watchtower literature helps us to understand the Bible.
Me: would you accept Christian literature to help you understand the Scriptures better after claiming James 1:5.
CCW: I cannot accept anything written by Man, only the Bible contains the Truth.
Me: If this is true, why do you accept the Watchtower and other JW literature?
CCW: Well, because they said it would help me understand the Bible better.
Me: Who wrote the Watchtower and the other JW literature? Isn't it men that wrote it?
CCW began to look confused while the JWs began to panick: Well, yes, but...
Me: Didn't they tell you you weren't to accept anything written by Man?
CCW more confused: But, but they told me...
JWs alarmed
Me: Asked them why is it that they told you not to accept any literature written by Man, yet they told you to read their literature?
CCW now confused looking back towards them and back to me: But, but, I was...told, but.
Me looking at the JWs: Can you explain why JWs are not to accept nor read any literature written by Man while telling them they have to read the Watchtower and other JW literature that was written by men from your Faith?
CCW looking dazed and confused making hand gestures of "what's going on?"
A JW grabbed her by the hand, told her, "Let's go.", spun her around and left.
I told the CCW to come back whenever she wanted.
They never came back.

Once a man came by my house ( I was already in my front yard ) and he was by himself. I found he was a Witness, or at least checking it out. I went over a lot of the things he might normally show me in the Bible along with how I thought they were wrong . Then we got into how his
' elders ' only want him to read certain parts of the Bible. I told him " between you and me, be your own man and go ahead and read the whole thing. "
Then he left. I don't know what ever became of him.
