Many Americans support “democratic socialism” and point to Sweden as a successful example. However, Sweden’s experiment with socialist policies was a disaster that significantly reduced its economic growth for decades. To restore growth and prosperity, the country had to undertake major market-based reforms.

It's a bit odd that you guys didn't talk about quality of life measures. GDP is not the only measure in the world

Economic growth does not reflect the welfare of citizens... And Sweden has one of..if not the best education system.. As well as most pleasant working conditions

So the only way to measure a nation's health is through economic growth and GDP? How about poverty rates, homelessness, economic inequality, voting rates, prison population, general happiness? Are we just gonna ignore all of the MANY things Sweden does better than the US?
Also, "changed its social safety net to help those receiving benefits find jobs, " that is bullshit. The premise that there is a massive class of people who would rather live off benefits than have a job is a misnomer, especially in the US

How many normal Americans felt that “economic growth”? The whole point is that despite the INCREDIBLE GROWTH, normal Americans are struggling and wages are stagnant, since the wealth was transferred to the top percentages of Americans

Sweden and Denmark were so tired of being called Socialist by Bernie Sanders and AOC, that the Prime Minister of both countries came out and publicly announced that they are not a Socialist Nation.
