I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to create these videos. I purchased Tasker a few months ago, but continued to get frustrated with trying to figure it out. I'm fairly tech-savvy, but struggled with some of the less intuitive aspects. Eventually I just set it aside and forgot about it. Now that I found your videos, I'm able to understand more of the context of how to get it to do what I want, which has been really incredible! THANK YOU!

You're welcome! I think a lot of people give up on it. It's not always intuitive. Glad my vids have helped. I'll keep on adding more so long as I can.

re: 10:50, I have a similar Profile set up to place my phone into Car Mode when certain apps open (Waze, Android Auto, etc.), but its Exit Task keeps executing prematurely (while Waze, say, is still open!). I'm stuck trying to figure out why that's happening! I thought the Exit Task was only supposed to run once the Profile's triggers were no longer active.

Any way to create a variable for the application in the context? I would like to start up GPS for about six applications, using Autoinput (no root) but it requires me to relaunch the app to bring it it to the foreground. I could do this with a variable if one existed. Failing this, I guess I am stuck with making six separate

Hello... I have a questtion... I am new at this and still practicing... so, i wanted my phone to say "You are late for work" every week day at 8AM if I am not at 200 meters radius of my workplace... so first trigger is time but how do I exclude saturdays and sundays? And i want to trigger it if I am NOT at specific (workplace) location but i cannot find INVERT at LOCATION profile... is it possible to solve these issues? Thank you very much, your tutorials are great!!! I am so excited, and I apologize if this is explained in later videos...

I might do that eventually... There's so much to cover with Tasker though, who knows when I'll get to plugins...

Question please! I have one context set to enable Wi-Fi when 1st[certain apps are in use, display is on, and near my home Wi-Fi]. Then I have another context set to disable Wi-Fi after a period of 1min, 20secs if 2nd[the profile of 1st context is not active, and my home Wi-Fi is enable]. All these work fine so far.
The issue I is that, when the 1st context becomes active again after the 2nd context has already been activated, I want all the tasks from the 2nd context to stop execution. As of now, when the 1st task is enabled again after the 2nd task has been enabled, Wi-Fi is still disabled after 1min, 20secs; I'm expecting because the 1st task is active again, all the tasks for the 2nd context should stop. It seems that once a context is started, all the tasks are preformed, even after the context terms are not met (since the 1st context is active again, the 2nd context should stop it's actions). DO YOU KNOW WHO I CAN RESOLVE THIS? Thank you!

How about an "OR" situation, i.e., if my alarm goes off OR it is after 8:00AM, do something?

Hi.

I don't find any where the most obvious thing..

1. I want to launch multiple task on only one profile.

2. I want to add multiple conditionant to a profile.

Example. I want to put Flight mode on and silent mode, every day except saturday and sunday, at 22h but only if I am charging the phone, and wait until I put to charge to activate these 2 profiles (silent and Flight mode) then revert when I unplug charger (silent off, Flight mode off)

Simply? I can't find every where how to do!

Can you help me? Thanks

i can fix your screen rotation problem. the drawback will be that you can't play that game in landscape but at least you're not bashing your phone on the table trying to get the screen back to normal.    just download screen rotator from the playstore.   what it does is it senses the current orientation and forces any so to that   ok maybe you can still play games in landscape mode but to save the trouble of bashing your phone i suggest just keeping it in portrait mode.
