It was so interesting about "Honne and Tatemae". As long as you are not living in Japan for long term, you never feel and know about that. Even for me as Japanese, sometime I do not get what they really want to tell me. For example, I used to be a video editor. I submitted the video that I edited, and they told me that it is good then but no more offer me making videos. I guess they did not like my video but did not say anything bad...kinda like that...meh.

Something common between India and Japan is that we too don't wear footwear from outside in the home. It has to be left outside or in the doorway.

Japanese people always ask this question in the context of doing things that are different to the narrow/little culture Japanese people have, in other words, doing something that should not be done in Japan in order to not offend close minded people. The third guy answered in the sense of things that could have been done but didn't do. That's a more positive attitude, he knows what he's talking about.
