Just think how many hundreds of millions of lives that would have been saved, if the whole world had the attitude described by the Rabbi in the above video

This is frickin crazy! I have formed my own spirituality and beliefs, based on science. I have never learned much about any of the religions. This is the first time I am learning about Judaism, and my jaw is on the floor! Apparently, I am Jewish! Most of my beliefs match their beliefs!

That’s why I can be Jewish and and an atheist simultaneously without any contradiction. The only thing id say differently from the rabbi, for me, is it’s not about whether I get into heaven or not. It’s about living a fulfilling rewarding and compassionate life in the short time I have on earth. Judaism gives me the tools, culture, values and generational lessons which allows me to do that. God or not, heaven or not, it’s of no concern as I strive to be a good person. I lucked out and was born into it, and I am thankful everyday for that gift.

This is a beautiful distinction between judaism and other monotheistic religions and very eye opening when explanation the rationality of judaism and how much more sensical it is. However, is this actually accurate? I love telling people this myself but is it right? Isn't the conclusion that the commandments need to have intent so if you are doing a commandment and only doing it being you deep down think it's right, it doesn't count? So although we are still better than any other monotheistic religion that believes if you don't follow their belief you are doomed no matter what you do. We still are not just judging the person as opposed to the religion because if you have an atheist who is a very moral person who follows a level of morality that is on par with jewish values, but he does it only because internally he just thinks it is right, he presumably does not have a share in the world to come. Why is that fair? Can someone clarify this?

He said it's about if you're an upright person and because of this, you don't have to be a Jew to go to heaven. He also said Judaism is universalist. How can they be universalist if you have to be a good person to go to heaven?
