It is done by increasing or decreasing magnetic field strength of the deflectors), when the electron beam hits the phosphorus coated screen that place gets illuminated. There are two methods, vector scan display and raster scan display to produce an image on the screen using the electron beam. There are three electron guns for red green and blue colour combining whom we get the display on the screen of a particular color. Energy from the electron beam when it hits the screen makes an individual phosphorus glow either red green or blue. The stronger the electron beam the brighter the phosphor glows. A shadow mask is a sheet of metal with holes in it located just before the screen to align the electron beam perfectly on the screen. The beam sweep across the entire screen 60times per second
