I kinda like the idea of someone raising their own mimic on accident. I imagine a story about someone bringing a young mimic home and then getting so attached to it they become a serial killer just to keep it fed.

This videos with the introduction to the mimic and the mom and child running into a harvester were fucking horrifying, glad I get to watch it again but with you explaining it so I’m slightly less horrified.

This would be a horrible world to live in. Would be anime level of horror like Parasite. You walk down the street at night and see a homeless guy getting ate and have to book it. Lets say a construction project and you cut into a sealed room and stumble on something.

This video was great! One small thing you missed, the last creature isn't actually unknown. In the 30 minute video that just seems to be all the previous documentaries put together at the very end a card for, "The Singularity" appears. Along with pages from the story book at the end of all the carnis's segments

i dont get uncomfortable with media very easily but the scene where the child and their mother get taken by the harvester almost made me want to just skip the episode entirely. good job to the creators.
Also i would ABSOLUTELY adopt a trimming given the chance. I mean look at the lil guy, hes just a small lil dude :)

The text at 28:36 says "the prince stood back, raised his arms and before him glew a bright light. Mythical shapes and colors. lights and figures! the critters were such sublime brilliance. the prince ended his display. He vowed, with the power he held and with the help of his kingdom. He shall heal their home." I'm not sure what's in between "were" and "such" hence the blank space.

This series is pretty interesting. It reminds me of some type of SCP universe. I definitely think the creatures are really creepy or interesting to dig deeper into.

i wonder if mimics change their behaviour once they gain their most humanoid appearance, like possibly picking up on human behaviours such as simple speech, gestures etc. it seems like something they would try to lure prey into a sense of confusion/reassurance. also, the part about the "chicken" tenders was right, you can straight up see the outline of fingernails on several.
