I have an adult daughter, age 41, whose name is Lauren. Her mom and I struggled with baby names since we weren't sure if new baby was going to be a girl, but we were happy when she was born; she came after 2 boys. I had seen a movie with Lauren Bacall recently and I thought it was a great name for a baby girl. My wife liked the name also.
