to alll of those who are fans of this movie if you havent; you NEED to watch the sequel. it perfectly ends the story and its a beautiful and emotional story. not about romance or sadness but about just pure human emotion and also the science fiction elements are cool and theres so many cool things but i dont want to spoil anything, it has the same characters and is in my opinion better story wise and really is just the cherry on top of 2001. the sequal film is called, 2010 the year we made contact. theres also 4 books in which the two movies are adaptations of the first two. ive read the first book and half of the second and they are some of the best works of literature ive read.
