Most moving scene of this very touching and underrated movie.

A couple of years ago I found myself alone in a foreign country on Christmas Eve. Decided to go and watch a movie at the cinema all by myself, which I'd never done before. So glad this was that movie. It's really special to me now.

This movie motivated me to visit 12 countries from 2016-2019.

I don't why this film has such average ratings, I thought it was brilliant

"are you comfortable?"
-"No!!"

Life starts, where your comfort zone ends. I wish I had heard this quote and seen this movie 20 years ago, when my whole young adult life was still in front of me.

Best scene in the movie. Great movie and song. RIP Bowie

I think that last line has a hidden meaning: 'Are you comfortable?' 'NO!'.
Life is not about being comfortable, in fact, the moment Walter Mitty starts feeling really alive is precisely when he starts doing things he has never done before; things he isn't comfortable with. Those are the moments in life that are the most exciting, and the ones really worth living for.

What I love about this scene is the transformation that takes place with Walter. He overcomes significant barriers and finally takes a leap of faith. Notice that after she disappears he stops dreaming and starts doing. Inspirational stuff ! After she disappeared you start to notice that his daydreams go away and he starts doing

"I wanted to tell you, that song "Major Tom" and that beard guy... he doesn't know what he's talking about. That song is about courage and going into the unknown. It's a cool song." <3

Saw Ben stiller on Upper West Side Manhattan couple days ago just walking like a regular people, shook his hand and told him THIS is one of the greatest scene I've ever seen, and thank him for it, and he graciously shook my hand.

Highlights of my life!

LOVE this scene. Walter is ‘motivated’ to live by his daydreams, a fantasy. But once he jumps into the helicopter, into reality, the daydream vanishes. He doesn’t need his daydreams anymore. He’s alive. And his daydreams are happy to see him leave.

Quit my job this morning to pursue what I really want to do. Here I am at lunch at Five Guys and this song comes on and i think of this scene. I can't even right now.

This scene was the ultimate honor to Bowie before his death.

That "sorry I'm a little nervous" even tho she's not real is what makes this real sweet

This is seriously a masterpiece, three minutes of total wonder. The acting, the photography and the recreation of that exact feeling the scene is willing to give. Also the song, seems written just to fit perfectly in here. I think that maybe sometimes there are pieces of art that overcome the beauty of what the critics says that's better in a technical way, and that's becuase of this intersection and sinergy of right things in right place
