They want a 70% plus pay raise? Way to ensure you’ll be replaced by automation.

If your dumb enough to pay somebody to work your problem. But you walk off a job it's called quitting

We are behind other countries in the efficiency of out ports. When the world ports went to more automation no one lost jobs, they found other places for them. A 75% raise - don't we all wish that. The union leader has a big ego problem!

Just so you know.. union longshoremen make around $150K per year. Now they want $225, 000. They should count their blessings and get back to work.

Fire them all! 77 percent pay increase is just insane! Hire non union workers willing to work for fair pay.

Automation movements are centuries old. Make no mistake everything that happens at the ports could have been automated a century ago. The workers usually have their way.

The bottom line is that the purpose of an economy is to feed as many families as possible.

The president has not been at the table to negotiate in over three months! Not talking about the demands is not going to resolve the issues. In the meantime, food is spoiling in those containers. This can’t wait for President Trump to fix! 🤬 How about no Christmas presents on the shelves!

How much training does it take to move a lever front/back, left/right, up/down, lock it/unlock it? A week? Two weeks? I saw a reality-based show where the contestants had to do that. I say fire all the dock strikers and hire the migrants at minimum wage (7.25) to start.

I was in a union for 25 years, my life was better with the union job with their negotiating and standing up for the worker, it’s one thing going after a company, but presently shutting down the ports is going to make the people suffer at a time when they’re already suffering at a time when our economy is teetering towards disaster it is very irresponsible and the one thing I can say is the American people never forgetI know there’s a significant difference in wages from East Coast to West Coast punishing the American people right now at a time when they can barely afford to put food on the table is pretty crude
