Riding the Ibis HD6

First Hiline ride with the HD6.
Current setup is with the new Vivid air shock and ZEB fork.

I rode that trail for the first time a couple weeks ago on my Transition Spur. The wide-angle action camera makes the trail look a lot less gnarly than it is. That blown out section is sketchy and I chose to not attempt the roughest spots. You make it look easy on the Ibis, nice work! I found the bottom of my 120mm suspension several times on my way down. I've got a Pivot Switchblade nearly built and hope to get back there this winter. Gotta love the DW link that Ibis and Pivot share for pedal efficiency and plush descending.

Thanks for your quick response! Ya- little concerned with the firebird buzzing my B-hind, but being fixed to a mullet only ride on the HD6 is a chin scratcher for sure.

Great riding! That’s some insane downhill tech!
Sat on an HD6 & it felt great in Extra Medium for me. Sat on a Medium Firebird & felt great too!
If you had to choose between the Firebird & HD6 which would you choose & why? HD6 felt so good, but what I see on paper scares me a bit.

Sick riding. Curious on your thoughts between the HD6 and Nomad? Planning to build up a Nomad but was also considering the HD6. A little worried about the shorter chainstay on the HD6 but it looked like you were really whipping the bike around tight corners! What size are you riding?

good video. I have an ibis HD5 (super bike) and am thinking about whether I should buy an HD6. But I'm not sure whether it goes uphill as well as the HD5. I mainly need my bike for touring, which sometimes go over 6500 ft (big mountains). My HD5 weighs 30.2 lb. Maybe you can help me a little with the decision. Thx

Wow, you speak. I am getting a second bike next year of the enduro variety, I test rode the Spartan and loved the downhill, but the uphill was the best, how does this compare? Thanks
