I love how he lectures a horse as he is giving us lecture at the same time which is greater lecture alltogether.

In psychiatry we call this "extinction". You are practically doing exposure therapy for the horse. You my friend are a horse therapist! I love it!

I don’t usually comment here, but I sincerely want to thank you sir for giving me experience and guidance that no father, brother, therapist or friend has ever done to me so well.
I’m only 19, and since I’ve reached the teens, I have this constant and depressed feeling that I’m lost, and don’t know anything truly useful for life.
You give me hope every time you release a video that there is hope, that I’m in the right path, and that everything in the end is gonna be alright.
Thank you for your time, me and hundreds of thousands of men and women as well are very grateful for your work

I'm not even a horseman but I do like these videos so much. I always try to look for the horse's reaction. I learned so much already ..
The way they communicate and all

I'm literally on the brink of tears here. I'm a Marine Corps vet, a husband and a father that's riddled with anxiety from a life full of trauma. This has all led to anger because of my fear of what might happen and the small things in life happening around me. I'm so afraid of the things I can't control. Until now, I've never realized that you can't control most things in life anyway.

Never thought I'd ever have so much in common with a horse. Thanks, Dewayne.

"Just because it happens doesn't mean it's something you have to move or jump or react to." <-- I think many many humans need this wisdom these days.

I’ve always had a deep love of dogs but have never had interest in horses. But recently I have been watching your videos as well some other ranches. My reaction to this particular video is that there is a true “beauty” in your treatment of that animal.

I've been living alongside a herd of breeding mares on a mountain in Wales, UK, for the past six months or so. I go and spend several hours a day with them, about everyday, they bring out the sage in me... I can see why the sage is strong in this fellow after however many years he's spent around horses, the simple honesty of horses bring out the sage in a man.

A horse video and life advice all in the same video. Nailed it. One thing that stuck with me in overcoming my anxieties as a lost young man -- "Stop trying to make the world softer around you, make yourself harder, more resilient." Joseph Cambell once said "The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek." I've made a habit of conversing with my fears, trying to treat them as a learning opportunity. I've still got things to learn... but when I see where I've come now, I realize I've recently gone through things that, if they happened 2-3 years ago, they would've completely broken me -- in the worst way imaginable. The monster we fight is ourselves. If you're familiar with Nietzche, you already know what I'm getting at...

Sir, you literally have an audience from young teen agers to young adults, adults, and the elderly. Your genius is healing many around this globe and teaching us why we are the way we are and have become what we are from micro perspective to a macro perspective. Thank You.

I've had horses like that. Once they get wore down from being scared and running and moving they usually get over the fear. It takes time and patience. Imprinting trust and respect in their mind helps.

Exactly !!!!
You sack him out and that means exactly what he says. You don't take away the thing that causes fear you take away the FEAR that the animal feels fear about it. It works for horses, dogs, cats, cattle, chickens, lammas, mules, donkeys, ducks, burros, monkeys and PEOPLE !!!

I have anxiety often and I have found your methodology for overcoming fear true. Often when you face anxiety you overwork your brain trying to "run" from your fear.

Why do we not react to fire alarms? Yes we have concerns but we dont start sprinting our thoughts are similar the more we run the less chance we have to discover our anxiety isnt always rational.

The more you understand that you aren't in immediate danger the quicker you realize anxiety can be dealt with slowly and rationally.
