I have had my Norvise since 2010. It still works perfect.

I started with a Thompson which didn't hold hooks very well. I had an HMH Spartan in the 1990s which was beautifully made and functioned OK. I then had a Norvise which was a nice rotary. Now I have been tying on a Renzetti Traveler for a few years which is the best vise I have used. The HMH True Rotary appeals to me a lot but the cost is more than I am willing to spend. I am considering using the Traveler's jaws to build a vise since I have the tools to machine parts.

Watch the guy tying behind him demonstrate the Mark 1 Mod 0 rotary human vise. Funny timing there.

$300.00 - plus for a vise? Wow! I can buy over 100 professionally tied flies — and save countless dollars in materials and weeks of my life.
