Sea level to rise up to a foot by 2050, Interagency report projects

An interagency sea level rise task force that includes NASA, NOAA, and other federal agencies said Tuesday the ocean height is projected to rise by up to a foot over the next 30 years.

It's so easy to disregard things that don't happen "right now", but sea levels have been rising for thousands of years.
To think that it's going to be the same level decades or centuries from now is the unreasonable thought.

I got a insurance rebate due to ocean level was dropping in Delaware thanks to noaa. They don’t talk about shifting sands because they are building on sandbars and that’s were the money is.

When have their models ever been accurate? A foot every 100 years is normal, but let's say they're right this time, so what? Why does their solution always seem to be the same? Why can't we just ignore these morons and just do what people have always done; i.e. adapt. Elevating your house isn't that big of a deal. I live in Florida, and people do it all the time. It's not just the super wealthy who have this problem either. I see people in mobile homes simply add cinder blocks until they're up far enough to stay dry. Cinder blocks are getting expensive, but they 're still just a few bucks a piece.

I grew up during Vietnam war, starting driving during the gas crisis, was serving in the military when the Gulf war broke out. Now having to deal with Covid issues and my business. By the time I retire most of my property on the coast will be flooded and worthless. What an unlucky life. 🙃

We were already suppose to be in an ice age by now from when I was a kid. I have not seen jack but the same thing I have seen for the past 54 years. 4 seasons and people moving into more hostile terrain that has always been hostile. Its like moving to Alaska and then crying how much it snows. I mean look at this guys home. He didn't realize this flooding happens like this when the walls already have drains in them for what reason? I mean if they build homes like that, they pretty much knew it floods there and has for probably thousands of years.

B.S. if true, there's not one single bank or other financial institution that would grant any kind of loan, mortgage, etc. Not one insurance company company would issue policies for property, etc.
