this explains my entire life for the last 3 years. my doctors dont believe me because if im having a bad day i reschedule my appointments since i cannot move let alone drive to the office. we definitely need our healthcare providers to be more educated in this & ME in general. so much suffering going on.

Really informative video. Thank you so much for making it & giving those of us with ME a voice. I hope to share it, but most people are not interested in finding out what we have or how much we suffer. After almost 28 years of this (I got a virus & never recovered), I’ve lost hope that I will live to see treatments that help. I was 38 when I became ill & am now 66.
I do care about the young(er) ones though, & pray they get the help, care & treatment we were denied due to disbelief, massive gaslighting & lack of research funding. 🇦🇺

Talking about cognitive difficulties, when that one is really bad in a crash a page of print might as well be ink spatters for all my brain can make of it. That is not a fun place to be, I love reading, I write.

Good information. Adrenaline and increased pain level is important to notice. An increased overall in symptoms makes it even worse to handle daily tasks, even at minimum level. Thanks 🙏

Another PEM situation, have you ever been both physically unable and mentally unable to focus enough to stick 2 model train or airplane parts together? That too is not a fun place to be.

Great channel, a lot more realistic for ppl suffering from more severe cases like I did. I’m housebound over year now.. but struggling with cfs for many years probably since my teens till got really severe in my 30s

Toughing it out is so much easier to do than Pacing imo.
I AM AWARE that pushing through PEM is horrible and makes use worse. Definitely don’t do that- but just saying- pacing for me is soooo difficult!

My only problem with this video is the ending. It was almost right to send to my doctor but the end makes it sound like I can do things as long as I "break them down into smaller chunks". That's their out. They can say, "Well just do things in smaller chunks." And they know it's right because they just saw it on the video you sent them.

The rest of it was pure GOLD. So, thank you. I hate to say this though, in my case, you're preaching to the choir.

Thank you for this. I think you've explained it quite nicely

Good Video. I would just like to add that there is a difference between PEM and PENE (ICC criteria) and ME patients should try to spread the word about PENE instead of PEM. This is very important to classify ME and show the differences to other illnesses.

Thanks for your video tho, keep going ❤️

Please make a video on vitamin A deficiency, dietary and supplement sources of vitamin A, with emphasis on those that can correct a deficiency.. and noting ++caution during pregnancy.

(..hint: beta carotene - from colourful fruit and veg - cannot correct any serious deficiency in a person suffering MECFS .. because it requires biochemical energy to convert it to retinyl esters, aka vit A ..and MECFS involves a lack of biochemical energy.)

UK medicine is guided by N.I.C.E. to not test for vitamin A deficiency - that it's very rare, not worth testing.. result is doctors not looking for telltale symptoms.. failure to thrive; dry eyes; light sensitivity; teary eyes upon wind exposure; skin issues; slow recovery from infections incl verrucas; etc etc

Thank you! Great info. Would it be possible to add subtitles in spanish? We are in real need of good information like this.
