I too started my own business after 40 years of working for other people. At the age of 60, I risked everything and put my life savings into starting autodotbiography, an online system that makes it easy for anyone to create a beautifully written and lavishly illustrated book of their life story for their family. It is a joy and a privilege to run my business.

Need more 40+ entrepreneurs highlighted. We are a youth obsessed society. That needs to shift. We need to be more balanced in our outlook.

Really inspiring! Our society is so youth-oriented that too many people don't even want to see or hear older people. They want to pretend they don't exist! We need to hear more from people at advanced ages. Maybe that will help our society be less afraid of aging!

I started sort of earlier than you, 60, and built two companies that now support us. Paul Tasner, if you see this put me on the list of your older entrepreneur network. Great Ted Talk.

Thank you for doing this talk. The thought of the approaching 50's, 60's, and 70's is terrifying to most of us. We are not just afraid of getting old, we are afraid of losing our jobs because we're old. Even though we are old, we're still going to need to be financially stable and sustain our own lives until we're gone. This gives hope.

Hey tedx audience I'm a regular 23 y/o and let me tell you the pressure of being successful and having it figured out in your 20s is really a problematic thing so its really refreshing to see a older person be so enterprising and experienced

Experience is everything. Nothing can replace that. When you're younger with a degree, fresh out of school, you're missing something substantial. Experience. That is gold!

Once you make it you realize the struggles, failures and being betrayed was necessary. It makes you unstoppable. Enjoy the journey of ups and lows it's the most memorable part of your story once you get to where you know you're going.

This is what real entrepreneurs do. They take action on new ideas implementing principles to their projects and always moving on from that comfort zone.
