Bentancur came and outshined Hojbjerg in that midfield. I thought Hojbjerg would evolve and level up last season but didn't, too error prone and delays progression going forward, holding the ball too long, passing backwards very often. Glad if he leaves

Hojbjerg's leadership qualities count for nothing if he can't do it himself. Watch us go up levels when he leaves.

I think this contract offer and the timing of it is a solid move. I’m not the biggest fan of levy or this board far from it, they have a lot to answer for! However I have to give it to them, this is a clear play to put a spanner in Bayern’s works. News breaks that levy is livid with all the tapping up, all we hear is Tuchel has met Kane he’s convinced, he only wants Bayern they are confident he will join blab blah. I’m almost certain this new contract offer at spurs is much higher than what Bayern are offering so now it’s potentially going to cost them a lot more if they want to see Kane in their shirt, you would expect Kane to ask them to match it or get close. Levy going to make this as expensive as possible for them, stick that in your pipe Bayern 👊🏽

Very much against losing Hojbjerg. Works very hard and covers the ground. Our defence will weaken if he leaves. He is limited, but, as Ben says, he is a leader who works hard and presses well. He could fit Ange's model. Bad idea. Agree that Spurs should compensate Shakhtar. It will be another test of Levy's moral compass. Can we be in any doubt how this will go?

Hojberg loses possesion too many times albeit he has the odd very good pass in him. Not enough, and we should sell him and get Amrabat. Solomon's contract with Shaktar has now actually expired (no longer 'suspended') so not sure what Spurs can do. I do think though that FIFA/UEFA should set up a fund from e.g. Champions League TV rights next season to support Shaktar and other Ukranian teams.

Here is another example that Ben and Sim don't value Son as much. What do you mean there is no one who leads by example? Is Son invisible to you? This will be his 9th season at Spurs, he is ranked 5th or 6th, tottenham's all time top scorer, if Kane and Hugo leave, Sonny is 2nd longest Spurs player after Dier, and he always plays for the team, working his socks off!. What more he has to do for you guys to consider him as your captain?(not that i know that he wants it)

I think you find once set leaders in a dressing room leave it lets the one’s that left take the step up, I think they’re always there but a lot of newer players respect the current leaders in the dressing room, I predict good things for Spurs this year 👍
