My answer to a question of how i'd set up (in comparison to the formation deployed at Celtic) on another channel - thought I'd share it here -

That would depend on the personnel they end up with at the end of the transfer window, if Kane stays or goes etc People often read too far into Anges Plan A mantra and naively assume he is a one trick pony. Ange never set up that far forward at the Roar, Socceroos or Marinos, it was only with Celtic in response to how deep oppositions were sitting back due to the technical disparity between teams. Celtic 'averaged' 73% possession for the entire season... let that sink in a moment. That is literal domination. With those kind of stats you can understand why they were sat so far forward in a D shape around the box like a basketball team. Ange is not so naive to expect this in the EPL. Furthermore at 29 we aren't going to see Kane chasing down every ball like Kyogo did, the high press however is key to his philosophy so you may even see Kane 'if he stays' playing a bit deeper in a false 9, with a sacrificial pony doing the hard work in front. Ange only used 2 strikers a handful of times at Celtic, but he has that in his locker. If you look at the wingers he's signed Solomon & Kulu, they both like coming inside into shooting positions, so we could be looking at inverted wingers being deployed tactically at the right moments. He played with 2 X 8's, and 1 X 6 that essentially played as a quarterback when in possession. With a false 9 Ange may revert back to a double pivit in DM, maybe with Maddison & Kane picking up possession in forward areas, alternating positions to create spaces in the pockets, getting it wide and so on. There's a lot of talk also about his inverted fullbacks, how they are deployed depends on the attributes of the player. In summary its a very fluid style and to look at it simplistically in terms of formation doesn't scratch the surface. There are so many levels to Ange-Ball its fascinating when you deep dive. If Perisic and Sessegnon are departing Tottenham, Udogie will be the only left back which neans we have to sign another left back who is Milos Kerkez. Please sign him Ange 🙏, well talented young left back who plays for AZ alkmaar and who is the best left back currently in Eridiviise.

We should sign centre backs Tapsoba, Bremer and Guehi. We should sign left back Milos Kerkez. We should sign a defensive midfielder Ibrahim Sangare and a central midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu. We should sign right winger Moussa Diaby and we should sign centre forward Lucas Beltran.

We should get Harry Kane to sign a new contract and send him out on loan for a year (preferably abroad) to have a season of winning trophies. Then have him back for the rest of his career
