Lenglet is 28 with plenty of big game experience and already has one season at Spurs. He may also fill in as DM until Bentancur is back to 100%. The CB we are linked with are younger and have no PL experience. If they need time to adapt, you want to have Lenglet as an option in the squad.

Sad to see Hugo go, and hope it turns out for the best, both for us and for hugo.

Hojbjerg is a no go though. Atleti wont pay the 50m that I think we should demand for Hojbjerg. Hojbjerg (unlike skipp, bissouma and bentancur) never gets injured, is a hard worker, a fierce competitor and next to a CDM is a pretty solid holding midfielder (he was best defensively next to sissoko and we've not had a CDM since). With more creativity coming in up front, a CDM and hojbjerg would be our most steel reinforced midfield combo for next season for the games where steel is required.

Where Bentancur is a better passer and Bissouma is the more technically gifted player, Hojbjerg is the one you would want against better attacking teams to break up play next to a Wanyama type. Imo all 3 of those have a role to play in different types of games and unless it was a good offer i wouldnt sell him.

I think looking at one mistake Skippy made and saying its a general example is a bit off. Different tactical situation last year. Give Skippy the opportunity and some support to develop into a more rounded player. If he doesn't then there is time to move him on.

PEH should be at least 30m or higher. Maybe re-investing part of the money on young gun like Alex Scott. If Ndombele passes the test in preseason, we have a couple options in midfield.

Poch was talking up Kane in an interview today. Said they have an amazing relationship. I'm saying if we don't get him locked down to a new deal or sell him abroad. Poch will convince him to join Chelsea.

The triple stripe mafia is correct. If you don’t score you cannot win. Ange thinks the same, he loves his team to score goals.

If Ange can’t get at least 80% out of NDombele then it’s out the door for me. He now has a manager who plays on the front foot not the ultra defensive football we have experienced recently but it’s all between his ears

After checking how many foreign players Tottenham have I can understand why Levy is doing everything to keep Kane.
Getting Madders a home grown for $40mil is excellent business. After looking at the home grown rule I don't know how he did it but I can understand why the quality English players go for $100mil. I was surprised to find out Dier doesn't count as home grown and is a waste of a foreigner position. I looked at video highlights of a few of the squad that are not good enough or suitable like Perisic, Gil, Sessegnon, and Tanganga. Currently there are 20 foreigners so 3 have to go, and that's before Spurs buy a CB.
