Every endo sufferer has unique dietary needs. There are many links to gluten and endometriosis so that is something to keep in mind if a sufferer is considering going vegan. You can search online for studies that link the two. The following have been useful recommendations to control estrogen dominance which is a marker for endometriosis: DIM supplementation, eat cruciferous vegetables, consider taking iodine (unless you are hyperthyroid), stay away from sugar and refined grains, eat organic, grass-fed/grass-finished and wild-caught, avoid pesticides and plastics. Personally I have found that juicing organic celery in the mornings helps tremendously. I even had endometriomas shrink on MRI after 6 mos of consistent celery juicing. I hope all females suffering get better care and feel better!❤

I burst into tears when she spoke about having a daughter. So many people tell me I won’t be able to have children and I’ve been suffering with endometriosis since I was 11 years old, I’m 21 now ready to make a change in my diet for the betterment of my overall health. I can not thank you enough for sharing your story Dr Asha you have helped me so so much and given me so much hope. ❤️

I agree with everything this lady says & my story almost the same… it is a horrific condition & journey … especially when you are being fobbed off with no real diagnosis. The pain & fatigue are off the scale & how you get through each month is a miracle!!! My Love & Best Wishes to this lovely lady ❤️❤️❤️

I have endometriosis and have been vegan for 26 years. The thing that made the biggest difference was adding spirulina to my diet. My unbearable menstrual cramps disappeared very quickly after adding spirulina. I took it for years then got complacent and stopped. As I hit peri menopause I began bleeding continuously. No cancer, doctors didn't have an answer. I began taking spirulina again and bleeding has stopped.

The worst thing about having endometriosis is feeling like we just can't cope with normal menstrual pain like we're hysterical. I've heard it so many times, "oh it's just your nature, it's normal to feel pain on your period". I've been told I was faking it to miss school as a teen, and I ended up going through 3 surgeries because of this "nature" of mine. Also, I had one ovary removed a week after my mom was told that there's nothing wrong and I'm exaggerating.

I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2015 after having 2 children and had laparoscopic surgery and I went vegan in January 2021 to see if it would help my endometriosis pain and it really helped and have stayed vegan with no pain.
I had another operation in April 2021 and my Gynaecologist said there wasn’t much endometriosis and he removed what he could.
I told him I’m vegan since January 2021 and he said plant based diet has probably helped you.
So I’ve decided to stay vegan 🌱 and hardly get any pain now.

In my experience, diet has been an factor in my symptoms. I’m not vegan or vegetarian as this didn’t work for me. After experimenting, I have found that my body doesn’t like a diet high in carbs, sugar and dairy. I eliminate these foods 80% throughout my cycle and my periods are so much better. Sometimes, I am pain free. I also started taking an enzyme called serrapeptase and this has helped significantly reduce my inflammation and pain from endometriosis symptoms that I don’t reach for painkillers as much as I did when I do experience pain

Another incredible story. Especially since she was 40 when her child was born after so much suffering! Do you have any success stories about women with large fibroids who were able to shrink or eliminate them naturally and have children? These interviews are very encouraging 💝 thank you!

Hats off to the doctor. Going from the Standard Western Diet to ANY whole food diet is "infinitely" a step up. Eventually, we each settle into our preferred way of eating. My wife has reversed her auto-immune disorders with the Ketogenic diet. Great work, Doc!

Thank you so much for this video! As someone who suffers from this it’s refreshing to see an ACTUAL doctor who is suffering from this condition. It brings it down to a human level. I was fortunate to have 2 healthy children, but since my children my condition has worsened and led to surgery. My doctor is really pushing hormone therapy, but I am glad to hear others are encouraging a healthy diet and lifestyle to help lessen the outbreaks.

Wish I knew about diet. Stage IV Endometriosis diagnosed at 21, multiple surgeries, including a hysterectomy at 37 because as a result of the ablation developed Adenomyosis. Never had children. Kept my ovaries and I swear now at 41 I still have lesions because I still experience pain monthly. Learning more about diet and trying to transition. If plant based helps I’ll never look back.

I know that I’ve had endometriosis since I got my period at 13, was semi diagnosed at 16 when I was having pain in my left side and I had an ultrasound. I was actually diagnosed at 18 when I had my first laparoscopic surgery. This disease has taken my whole womanhood away 😞😪😪 I have had at least 13 surgeries for endometriosis which includes my hysterectomy and left ovary removal. In 2018 I had another surgery because I was having so much pain in my left side…..the doctor found endometriosis and by this time I’m post menopausal too 😮 I’m just glad that my doctor wanted my input about my care. 😊

this made me sort of crying when she said she had a daughter and all the more when she mentioned she was 40 when she gave birth. Somehow gave me a little hope given im 33 with endometriosis and had just a breakup. Thank you for sharing your story and the lifestyle change you made. And yes, what's worse was that my OBGYNE DIDN'T mention any diet change. When I asked what I can do with my condition, she just said i'll just have to continue taking pills which is so sad.

I remember in high school my periods were so painful that I would start my mornings with about 600 - 800mg of Ibuprofen and then after school I would be dying to run home to take a few more. That's terrible on the whole body, especially the liver and kidneys and especially to a body that was still in the process of growing.. anyway I distinctly remember one day in gym class, I was supposed to be running laps and I was in so much pain that the PE teacher yelled at me because I stopped for a break and when I told her why, she said "oh get over it, all girls get period cramps" and she made sure to yell it loud for the whole class to hear. I was mortified, felt alone, never spoke of it again.. ever, only tried a few doctors and gynos who did not take me seriously.. here I am 46, childless, it's affected so much, my periods completely stopped in January, can't get an appointment for months with a doctor because of Covid delays, even though I don't have much hope and I'm now desperately searching the internet for guidance and help online.. I learned more in 30 minutes than I have in 30 years
