N.B important to note that this is an extremely small study with some methodological flaws. We cannot conclude things purely from this study at all. It may all just be purely correlative data and not causative. However I will be interested to see what the planned human trials will add to our knowledge of endometriosis. TLDR: it’s very early days and not very robust in terms of studies but I found it interesting!

Admittedly I cried. The idea that they may be able to cure/treat it better in my lifetime is comforting.

It's nice to know doctors admit they don't know things rather have that happen than for someone to act like they know things and mess up on it

My mom had a total hysterectomy in her thirties because of endometriosis. I’m glad to hear there is potential progress being made to help those who still suffer from it.

The other breakthrough would that doctors not dismiss their patients when they complain of AB/pelvic pain as "just a bad period" or "over reacting"

I'm tearing up. I have PCOS and/or Endo. I wish they had these studies when I was a young girl. These means so so much.

The fact this is even being studied is a miracle in itself

I'm so glad you don't treat women issues as something to.keep at a distance.

They did a full hysterectomy on me at a super young age because they had no clue how to fix my pain and claimed it was the only treatment for endometriosis ..ovarian cancer and cervical ..they found out after they didn't have to..it all started with endometriosis 😢

As a woman with endometriosis, it makes me sad that other animals have this. They don’t understand 😢

Couldn’t be happier. I’m a man but listening to women talk about how awful the condition is was eye opening. I had no idea the sheer scale of suffering from this. Anything to help these women out is amazing.

I always love hearing when a women's health issue is treated seriously.

I can confirm that after 8 months of antibiotics for Lyme disease my 20+ year endometriosis randomly went away 😳 🤯

The poor mouse, but at least they may find a cure. I have been suffering with this for the last 20 years and suffer all kinds worse pms symptoms including depression and fatigue just around this time. Thank you @DrKaran for keeping us updated and for educating us, I got to learn a lot from your contents.

I'd just be happy if more doctors learned about endo in the first place. Can't tell you how hard it's been to find a doctor who even takes it seriously since my diagnoses.

A treatment/cure for endometriosis would be a total game changer for so many women that have to endure the excruciating pain of endometriosis! 💗

My sister had it, and since we shared a room growing up, I remember seeing her sitting on the side of her bed, just sobbing and being in so much pain. She started experiencing pain and everything at the age of 15, and when she was 28 they were finally able to diagnose her with endemetriosis, but unfortunately she had to have a full hysterectomy, and put on hormone replacement. I really hope they find a cure, and really find out what causes this.

This is amazing. Endometriosis is debilitating. Any step toward a potential cure is a step in the right direction.

I REALLY hope these studies bear fruit! Im getting checked for suspected endo soon, and i know women who have it. Its such a horrible disorder. To have a treatment plan that works (better than hormonal treatment) would be huge

I was diagnosed at 12 which is rare to get it that young. I luckily have no pain on birth control but my doctor said I needed to come off it at some point. I’m glad that this could help a lot of women who are struggling.
