I knew when they announced he had “aphasia” a couple of months ago, I figured he had either a stroke or dementia & I was right. He’s got frontotemporal dementia, which is progressive & usually fatal after a few years. Poor guy—all the money in the world & it can’t help him. What a heartbreak.

One of the best actors 😢 heartbreaking that he has to go through this but it’s great to see that he has love surrounding him and he won’t ever be alone!

My heart and prayers go out to Bruce and his family.

I believe music can always speak to our spirit and soul.

Music can speak to the heart, mind and soul when sometimes nothing or no one else can...💜💜💜

I hate to hear that. Dementia took my dad, his sister, his brother and the absolute worst was my brother in his 50’s. It is my fear.

My heart goes out to Bruce & family. I’ve experienced this with my dad it’s no fun. I learned that vitamin D is important to for dementia. ☀️

When it was announced that Bruce had Aphasia, I had a feeling that it was much more than that…..

I lost my mom to Dementia 12 years ago and her decline was hard to watch…..

Such a shame as he was a pretty good guy…

Now we have to wait for the disease to run its course, but I don’t wanna even think about it….

All I can say is that I am so grateful to grow up and watch his movies he’s an incredible actor and I hope he lives the remainder of his life in some sort of comfort, surrounded by the people he loves. He has given us so many incredible movies and he will forever live on through him.

Heartbreaking 💔 Sending love and prayers to his family and friends. So hard to watch someone you love go through this. I was a CNA for a few years on dementia floors and it’s an evil disease.

I used to work assisting elderly in their homes. Doesn't matter how bad some of them had mental recall issues, put music on or a movie from their past and they will sing/ dance along...I'm telling ya, they should have music therapy for all patients like this. ( music from their childhood works best from what I've seen fyi) many of us will face the same consequences as we age..we should all be understanding. I believe he's lived a great life. I know how hard it is, but those moments of clarity r so cherished.
