My mom was diagnosed with Dementia early last year. The doctors put my mom on a newish tablet that they claim to slow down the dementia & adds on extra years on their lives. Mom has gotten very confused & forgetful. She's 85 yes old this year & lived at home until recently. I treat my mom the same way as I have always done & funny enough she still remembers me but not the others. I feel for Bruce's family. I really do. But always remember they are still your parent and give them the same respect as you did before their illness. At the end of the day put yourself in their shoes. They are frightened as they don't understand what's wrong with them. Hi from the West of Ireland

When i first Visited my Grandparents who raised me in my Country after Migrating to Germany no one told me that my Grandma is suffering Demensia. When i arrived home she Recognized me in the first 20min she was Happy then after an hour trying to talk to her and she just looking at me like i was a Stranger that was the time that our family told me about it i was Deeply Sadden like i already lose her forever 😔..

My husband was also diagnosed with this RARE DEMENTIA Called FAHR, s DEMENTIA in 2007 was a LONG YOURNEY for me Luckily I'm a Nurse for more than 40yrs I nursed him my self FAHR, s included Parkinsons etc etc Combination of alot 💔😭BUT BY THE GRACE OF GOD I COULD CARRY ON TILL GOD TOOK HIM HOME IN 2020 💔he was at that stage 2007 the 1st pasient in SA who was Diagnose with this type of Dementia and the 5th Worldwide SO I HAVE 1st hand experience 🙏STRONGS TO HIS FAMILY 🙏I know the YOURNEY onward 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I've had short periods in my life when my head hasn´t been working right and with occasional tendencies similar to aphasia and Parkinson's. Bruce's condition is probably much more serious and I don't want to down-play it, but I can share a few things that have helped me getting past those moments and back to a clear mind:
- drinking much water,
- avoiding alcohol,
- avoiding sugar,
- physical exercise,
- eating healthy,
- solving chess problems.

I’m really sad about this Bruce has been one of my favourite actors for a long time … I rewatch a lot of his films. So glad he has his whole family supporting him while facing this 😢❤

My heart goes out to The Willis Family, I remember Bruce on the show Moonlighting and countless others.
My dad was a tough SOB from The Bronx, but when dementia took hold there was no turning back.
I myself have been battling stage IV cancer for 14 years and I thank God for what I have.

My partner had same diagnosis at 55 years old, he passed away September 2022, it is an evil disease, but the best way to deal to make their life good is you have to live in their world don't try to make them fit yours.
