Ambient mode made me think my video driver or monitor was breaking down, it seriously looks like a graphics bug. I had to unplug my DVI cord, clean and plug it back in, as well as reinstall my graphics driver to see which of the two were breaking down and only then I realized this is supposed to be a feature and my hardware isn't dying. Thanks for the backpain, YouTube.

Tip : You can disable the glow effect in the video's settings next to speed and resolution.

Why does YouTube change the layouts way too much, it was fine the way it was, focus on the damn bots instead of the YouTube layout

I'm not epileptic, but Ambient Mode causes the background to pixilate and flicker (in Dark Mode) which hurts my eyes... I can only imagine how it must affect photosensitive people. If I wanted to be "fully immersed" in the video, I'd just put it in fullscreen. If I don't put it in fullscreen, I clearly want to be able to distinctly view other things at the same time, not have the flashing lights bleed out onto the rest of the screen. PLEASE make an option to set a default setting, it's very annoying to have to manually turn it off every time I log in 😕

This option should be optional, in fact, it's also badly slowing down many older PC, including mine, sometimes turning it off doesn't change anything, and still slow until everything cached to the point it's finally run smooth again.

Before bringing this ambient mode they tried this feature in older YouTube about a month ago ... It was so cool as.. but now the overall ui seems to lack the red color which comes first in the mind when one thinks of YouTube!!
