Get YouTube Dark Theme Mode and Play Videos in Background (no root)

Download free YouTube app with Dark theme/black theme/dark mode without rooting your Android smartphone.

No root required. Absolutely free and the app is ad-free too. Except
the videos might have YouTube ads.

Notes:
1. In some countries, the original YouTube app might have a dark theme in the settings. However, YouTube Vanced app also allows you to play music or videos in the background while allowing you use to other apps.

2. Please ensure you go into YouTube Vanced app and not YouTube app. Go into profile, then settings, then general and turn on Dark Mode to enjoy the dark theme.

I have a problem, I used to be able to turn my phone off and the video still plays, now I turn it off and it pauses and starts back at the beginning. Basically the background works but I soon as I press the music/headphones icon, the video stops then i go back to yt and it has restarted. HELP!!!

I have a Note9 & when I compare the Picture quality between Vanced & native YouTube app, the Vanced app looks dull, like it has a thin layer of film on it, can you confirm the same?
