Stretchy Rib Cast Off - Stretchy Cast Off for English Style Knitting - Stretchy Rib Bind Off.

In this video I show you my way of working a stretchy cast off (bind off), when working Knit 1, Purl 1 Rib (1 x 1 Rib).

Some stretchy bind off methods work better for continental style knitting, but I find this way more suited for english style knitters.

I just tried this bind off, on a cuff. It looks better and works faster/smoother than the 1×1 I have used for years.

I’ve just finished a pair of socks with Jeny’s stretchy bind off and it’s ruined the sock, giving in an untidy ‘flared’ appearance, which is such a shame after all the time knitting it! Real nice job, one question. How do you terminate the last stitch bind off, when you work with ccircular needles. How do you connect with the beginning of the row. Thanks for the answer. Evangéline

Does the same system work with knit two purl two rib?
