I found it very nice that Lelouch revealed his identity to Sayako (the maid). Lelouch didn’t reveal it to his best friend, Kallen or even Nunally. But he trusted Sayako enough to reveal who he is to her. Which is kinda touching.

Btw, during the betrayal of the black knights, the members never stopped to think to themselves “hmm, if Lelouch really did Geass them to do what he wants, the black knights would’ve never been able to betray Lelouch in the first place.”

The Black Knights assuming C.C. was Zero’s mistress is so funny when you consider the fact that Lelouch was canonically a virgin.

During conversation between Mao. You can Observe a sudden delay between the pre-recorded Lelouch talking. Even Mao questioned this sudden silence. Of course a first time viewer would not expect it to be pre-recorded but that detail is so damn amazingly suttle.

Aside from Nunnally's many talents, I believe she can also read minds through contact. Any time Nunnally touches someone, she can tell if they're lying. This is something that Lelouch himself intuits to some level and avoids making contact with her when he lies about something really bad. This is also why all the memories of what Lelouch has done floods into her mind when she holds Lelouch after being slain by Suzaku.

I'd say the single inspiration for the zero costume is simply just a king piece in chess. It fits the motifs of code geass literally perfect.

Most of these I did notice when watching. The main one I didn't notice was the CC not smiling in the into until after she regained her will to live again.

There's also a contrast when C.C said she found her wish granter in S1 and what Lelouch said in S2 while in the platform in C's Word when Charles tried to take C.C's code.

3:20 IIRC Lelouch uses platform shoes when dressed as Zero, to both make it harder for someone to ID him, and because it gives a psychological advantage when acting as a leader. I think it was mentioned in one of the artbooks or something,

I feel like the movie is the true ending of the series. My head cannon for the ending was somehow an identical match for the movie other than Lelouch losing his memories. There were so many clues pointing to it I was so happy to see it all confirmed. You can say the movie isn't "cannon" but I feel like that was just a cop out the studio put out to avoid polarizing fans.
