I think we need to truly appreciate this masterpiece - I think it's one of the most underrated football games of all time.

All Konami needed to do for PES 2022 was to revamp the dribbling system and servers, fix the referees, fix the collision system and enhance the graphics, commentary, menus and crowds and it would have been the perfect football game😔

Yeah this game is so great. It feels so realistic until I get a foul for no reason. Loved everything so much other than the referees. The soundtrack also is dope🔥

I stopped playing FIFA in 2019 and tried PES 2020 and I was absolutely amazed how good it was after FIFA. Gameplay was so good, it was so realistic
Then I bought PES 2021 and I played it so much
But about a month ago I got tired of repetitive Master League: regens, players don’t develop, no injuries, boring to play Master League after second-third season. And that’s why I wanted to try FIFA 21. Well, it was so fresh to me after PES, I liked it.

Yesterday my friend came to me, we played one match in FIFA, and then he asked me to play PES
Oh god, how good PES is. This realism, player movements, everything in PES feels much better (except grass colour, it’s too bright and unrealistic)

I do hope that KONAMI guys know what they do, I want them to succeed. And I hope there will be the best Master League in PES 2022

PES2021 is the best PES of the PS4 generation by some distance. A solid 9/10 PES for me, arguably the best PES overall since the hallowed PS2 era. It'll never get the credit it deserves because of the context it appeared in – season update, massive pandemic, uncertainty about what was coming next (eFootball), and the entire weight of frustration about all the previous editions. PES2021 may be the last true PES game and it's a fitting swansong.

I respect other fans who make claims for the likes of PES2018 and PES2013, but for different reasons (no fouls in '18; overpowered shooting and gimmicks in '13) it has to be the likes of PES2021 for me.

I agree with your review, except for the part where you say it's not as 'fluid' – I always take 'fluid' in a football game context to be synonymous with 'arcadey'. So the less 'fluid' a PES edition is (within reason of course), the better. PES2021 has the perfect level of non-fluidity IMO.

I never play online and believe we should never assess any football game on how it plays online. I have a look every year (PES and FIFA) and am always left shocked at the state of football gaming online. It doesn't exist. It's a button-mashing exercise with a football wrapping. The relatively few 'good' opponents don't cancel out the 99% bad.

Offline FUMA modded to the gills on PC is like nothing I’ve experienced before in sports gaming. It truly opens up the beautiful game. Big learning curve for me but so rewarding

I had Pes 18 on Xbox 360 and even though I had to do all the kits manually it was such an enjoyable Pes imo, also due to the cl and el license

Totally agree .. I bought a gaming laptop for pes 21, hardly played my PS4 version, I’ve loved the experience of adding mods and also coming up with solutions when they don’t work. May try virtuared next season but just spent so much time adding them myself, have tried manual which has been challenging but rewarding. Many thanks for your awesome content this year spoony !!

I am old school gamer...i was playing games from 1984 and i need to say Pes My Club is one of the most addictive games i ever played..and one of the most frustrating too..im not agessive guy but Pes make me insainly mad sometimes..love the game !
