Real Madrid struggled for 18 years without a win at Riazor (Depor’s stadium) they truly were a Spanish power side

Can you do one for Parma next? A lot of people of my vintage (born in the 80's, growing up in the 90's) loved both Depor and Parma and Parma provided so many great players and won a UEFA Cup

How different this would have been had we beaten Porto and Monaco to win that UCL where at that point (semis) we were the favorites to many eyes. That comeback against European champions Milan in the quarterfinals was the pinnacle, and the elimination by Porto was the beginning of our downfall. Still, what a great story to be told and what a great legacy to have. Now, with big clubs getting even more money than in the 90s and early 00s, it seems impossible to achieve such a feat anymore, but here we are, supporting this club in the bad times as much as we enjoy supporting it in the good ones. Forza Depor.

@ 10:50 how could you forget to talk about that quarter final win against AC Milan? They lost the first leg 4-1 and won the second leg 4-0!!!! That's was one of the best AC Milan teams ever! Diego Tristan and Roy Mckay where so amazing that year!

That semi final vs Mourinho's Porto side will haunt us forever, just as Djukic penalty miss has. I remember Andrade getting sent off in the first leg for "tapping" Deco in the back with his foot, almost saying "get up, I hardly touched you" the ref interpreted that as an aggression and sent him off. We played the rest of the game with a man less and missed Andrade for the return leg at home which proved vital. Cesar played as his replacement and committed the penalty which knocked us out 0-1 at home. Gutted.

Hope you can do a "fall of FC Kaiserslautern" They've had a pretty hard fall from grace.

I'd love to see them back in La Liga. Back where they belong. This club and their stadium Riazor is way too good for Segunda Division.

La Coruna was the first european team I fell in love with, due to Bebeto and Mauro Silva. So sad to see them these days!

Such an interesting story. As someone who has only watched PL football all his life, this was really fascinating. Makes me want to start a new career in FIFA with Deportivo and make them rise to the top again.

Damn, the 2004 Champions League must have been a weird one with Porto, Monaco and Deportivo all doing really well.
