Aerial view of Wayanad Landslides Reveals Extent of Damage in Two Villages | SoSouth

Drone footage that Captured the devastating impact of recent landslides in Wayanad, Kerala. Drone footage captures the scale of destruction as buildings collapse and bridges are washed away, leaving over 60 dead and many more trapped. Mudslides have inundated homes, reaching as high as the first floor. Rescue efforts are ongoing, but access is hindered by washed-out roads in Mundakkai, Chooralmala, Attamala, and Noolpuzha.

My prayers for the families and those who have lost their lives and homes. But I am sorry to say these are men made disasters, soil loose it’s stability when trees are cut. Massive urbanisation are largely responsible for the recent disasters. H.P. Uttarakhand and now Wayanad.

The location where landslide occurred was path of river in past .
But due to less water or some other reason that path was naturally change.
But when there was excess rainfall, also texture of soil of that area, river reclaimed its path naturally.
So humans beings, how much they are smart and educated enough has no right to trick the nature.
Goverment ignored all this data .
No one should stay in area of river terrace.
It will be habitable temporary not permanently.
Water or river has long-term memory.
It will find its original path.
