Another info :

The Chaliyar River is approximately 25 kilometers from the disaster site, which means that the full and partial body parts of the victims may have traveled a significant distance through the river. This highlights the severity of the disaster and the potential impact on the surrounding environment and communities downstream.

The fact that body parts have traveled 25 kilometers through the river suggests that:

1. The force of the landslide or flood was extremely powerful, causing widespread destruction and displacement of human remains.
2. The river's flow and currents carried the remains a considerable distance, making recovery and identification more challenging.
3. There may be a significant impact on the river's ecosystem and water quality due to the presence of human remains and other debris.

This information emphasizes the importance of a thorough and sensitive recovery effort, as well as environmental monitoring and support for affected communities.

I think this kind of bird's eye view of the incident was needed to understand the full scale of devastation and your channel is the only one who managed to do it. Thank you and keep up the good work.

It is not landslide as usual. There is a cloud burst at the top of the hills cluster feeding Chaliyaar and Kabbini river as well as small Kuttiyadi river located in the SW slope of whole mountain complex. Topsoil not able to hold together on such slash of heavy rain fall just in few hours. Uttarkhand tragedy, last year HP Jhelum river tragedy, etc are result of huge cloud burst. This year SW monsoon pattern hold only high altitude rain clouds as akin to summer rains against normal low altitude graudual rain giving black clouds. This is the reason. thanks

I was shocked to see a video on internet where, a rescue team found a lower part of body all alone & no clue about upper part.
Even enemies shouldnt face these kind of incidents.
Why god why....? What did the innocents do..?

Who in the right state of mind gave permission to build a village, leave alone a building on this fragile ecosystem ?
When Nature is tested, it will pass the test & we fail. A grim reminder how helpless we are in front on mighty Mother-Nature..My condolences to the dead...Further losses can still be prevented by not allowing construction activity close to mountains,

Now it is clear that it is not man made . As there is no human activies in the area which triggered or started the land slide.

Thanks.
Unfortunately you didn't mention the word 'landslide', which presumably originated at a place which you didn't mention either.
You mentioned Chooralmala but did not mention Mundakkayi at all.

This type of rain disaster in Kerala started in August 2018, only after Supreme court decided to allow all women in sabarimala. September 2018, the bill was passed. Ever since then, this disaster in Kerala continues like never before. It is getting beyond human control. This is God's response. Let us pray for Kerala 🙏
