Reminds me of the situation with Joseph Galli when he moved to Milwaukee from Stanley Black and Decker after successfully launching DeWalt tools.

Youtube has become the platform of people who can talk for hours without saying anything.

This was because Covid-19 arrived, THD began closing early in the day. Lowes remained open for those hours

Started going to Lowe’s when the long lines at HD started. Lowe’s has decent tools but their lumber is definitely better quality than HD.

Bamaboy is right. As a vet, I always get the discount. I also always bought at Home Depot after a bad experience with a manager at Lowes, but then Home Depot stopped giving me the discount, saying it was no longer good enough to have it on my drivers license. I’m not going to carry my DD214 every day, which is why I took it to the Revenue office to get it on my license. No thanks, Home Depot. I’m back at Lowe’s and buy my Makita tools online.

Home depot has better tools.
Lowe’s has better materials
Both have military discount, so I kind of just go to which ever is more convenient and closer to the job site.
People talk poorly about customer service at each store, but I personally have never had a problem at either. This morning at Home Depot I was approached by two employees and they helped me locate something I was looking for.
I didn’t even have to ask them, they wanted to help.

Being a veteran I find Lowes to be more veteran friendly and the store overall to be more bright and welcoming. Try it out for yourself, walk into a Lowes vs a Home Depot and see, bright vs dark dungeon....just my opinion 🤷 have a good one-peace out brother!

I've noticed discontinuation of certain products and lack of products on shelfs. Even though the HD is closer to where I live I now head to lowes first.

All I know is this past year I’ve been shopping at Lowe’s more than Home Depot for the first time ever. It seems like Home Depot doesn’t carry the sheet products I need anymore but Lowe’s does. Also Lowe’s has a much better tool selection for the finish carpenter/woodworker. I predict that if Lowe’s ever gets the contract with TTI Home Depot would be toast.

The Home Depot is 1 mile from my shop. When there were thelong lines to get in I did go to Lowes 8 mile round trip. Another thing Lowes did not interegate me about my service in the USMC. Who keeps there DD214? It was the best and worst times of my life...I was happy to be out and did not care to "save" all my military paperwork. I know I served and I didn't need the paperwork to make me feel like I did.

I was in Home Depot last Monday afternoon, was going to spend several thousand $$ and could not get anyone to help us, went to Lowes and got service with a smile, I'm done with Home depot

You are correct. I noticed the same thing last year. Home depot has been fumbling the ball for a couple years now.

I wasn’t gonna stand in line outside for an hour to get in the Depot, so I went to Lowe’s.

15 employees wandering the aisles, doing their best to avoid eye contact, lest they be force to answer a question that they really don't know the answer to.

1 self checkout cashier, yelling at people that are being their own cashier because they walked 4 feet forward before they were called... even though they did so because the self checkout cashier hadn't notice that there were 3 open registers for the last 3 minutes.

Home Depot is worse than Walmart now... It's a shame... They have all of that good stuff but nobody to sell it...

It seems like everytime we go to Lowe’s for an order they never have everything we need. And too many people taking up the pro checkouts, and using the covered loading as a parking lot... it’s going to be awhile before they win me over. Always enjoy the videos, I appreciate all the info!!

For specialized lumber, I always go to the smaller lumberyards like Beatty. Home Depot and Lowe’s do not carry the variety of lumber I need.

I don't know if this is current. At one time Lowe's had a policy that they did not carry a product unless its quality was proven. I have had many products fail from HD because they go the cheap route.

Home Depot lost my business by signing on to, along with many others, filing a lawsuit against the Trump Administration for putting tariffs on China. All the years of shopping at Home Depot I took help with me to load materials. Lowes almost always offers or just does it. What a difference!

You nailed it, no lines waiting outside. What is the difference people waiting next to one another or inside shopping. I drove past HD and went to Lowe's

In San Diego there is one Lowe’s near downtown and it has slow check out and unavailable help. The 3 Home Depot’s nearby are all really fast for in and out with upbeat customer service and improved merchandise return times.
