Supporters of the public option say it will lower insurance premiums without increasing federal spending. Medicare and Medicaid began with similar promises, but political pressure led Congress to break its promises and increase federal spending by billions of dollars. The public option has a worthy goal, but we should be skeptical of plans that claim to offer affordable insurance without increasing federal spending.

That's why we should just go with socialized healthcare

Why not just have free universal public healthcare like what we have here in New Zealand 🇳🇿, as well as Australia 🇦🇺, Canada 🇨🇦, Taiwan 🇹🇼, South Korea 🇰🇷, Britain 🇬🇧, Sweden 🇸🇪, Israel 🇮🇱, Denmark 🇩🇰, etc?

500k+ views and 29 comments? Seems pretty suspicious to me

You said it would have to pay doctors and insurance considerably less but didn’t explain it more in the video. Maybe you meant to imply they’re not actually paying less but the premium is covering less of it because of taxes, but it wasn’t phrased that well.

I totally agree. Increasing taxes for the greater good is ridiculous. Hopefully, only the wealthy have access to quality healthcare...

I feel while this video is accurate about a public option, it fails to show the possibility of socialized healthcare
