First of all no over current protection. Your phone could get harmed and not over discharge protection. Us that us use and throw batteries don't do like the foolish person in the video. You could make a powerbank using 18650 cells and a powerbank module. It has over charge over discharge charging protection.
The phone used in the video is a Nokia.
They should have tried it on their main phone using which they uploaded and recorded the video.
You know for a reason they did not use it cuz it could damage the phone if the bus of phone not working properly
