you might want to put a small 555 circuit in there to disconnect after a preset micro delay so you don't fry the battery or the cell. make it more user proof.

Have you ever had a 12 volt short circuit and the 2 wires welded them selves together....I even seen it happen on 120 v. but with more heat and sparks! I believe this video is real!
