Previous 5-series was BMW back to making beauty and elegance. This is just atrocious. That massive rectangular screen is just laziness. Even MB has moved the central screen to be more integrated. Either way, this car is just upgrade from being flatlined on the road. Let the screen fail, you will have an incredibly heavy paper weight.

It is amazing how all of the cars motor week tests have no faults. Every review is glowing. I am sure the free loaner had no influence on that.

I have had multiple 3 and 5 series but this version resembles a Honda Accord from the side view unfortunately. I just don’t think it has the look that a BMW should.

It doesn't look like a $70, 000 dollar car. It looks normal

EV will not be the answer. Love my gas driven BMW.

dear BMW North America, please bring back the 5-Series wagon (i5 wagon too) to North America. Too me, the 5-series wagon is the ultimate BMW driving machine.

Enough with making electric cars seem like a good thing for people or the planet.

Im not a fan of the best buy screens all over the place in cars. I miss real gauges and buttons with tactile feel. Now its touch bs, nothing feels good it all feels like plastic crap. Im not happy about this at all but its a larger trend that affects most cars now.

Looks like a cross between a Nissan Maxima and Jaguar XF

It’s an ugly car inside and out. E39 was stunning when new. They never were able to surpass that styling and top spec of the M5 with a manual transmission and V8. The V10 in the subsequent generation was a disaster. Rod bearings were considered maintenance wear and tear parts like brake linings. This could be the last 5 series if sales are poor and they abandon cars like American car makers with the switch to mostly small SUVs.

Ok. I’m officially old. What the hell is this thing? I can’t believe what I’m seeing a 5 series I don’t like.

That “5” badging on the window is enough to drive this potential customer away. How tacky.
