I NEVER CLICKED ON A VIDEO SO FAST. I was subscribed to JR Alli when he only had a few thousand subscribers. So so cool to see him finally being discovered.

JR is in my opinion the most talented young film maker on this channel! Been following him since last year I think and everything he puts out is just pure gold.

taking a break is game changing! Rushing through an edit never gives the creator enough time to whole heartedly look at something before they publish it and i think today more than ever, with so many creators trying to keep up or 'do more' or 'document' and not create, breaks in workflow and in creating really separates the men from the mice x thanks for sharing ledge

That "break from editing" is huge for me. I get caught up in editing and want to just finish the video, what I've found is to just take a break. Every time I do a break, I feel like the video is twice as good as it was. It's hard to stop editing, but it really is beneficial to the end product. Great tips guys!

JRs London video was such an inspiration. Without it I wouldn’t have started to film my own travel video. I had so much fun editing and it was such a big help to see him breaking down the basics in this video. So thanks guys.

Honestly JR Ali is underrated! People need to rate his videos. The focus on his details are always on point!

He is very talanted guy. He literally created his own style of transitions to which we are attracted so much and i’d say most popular transitions are JR Alli’s transitions. I don’t understand why is he underrated though...

I am so very jealous that you guys have been able to do so much and come so far with video and film with the use of digital imaging. When I was much younger it was nothing but film and even the cost of expendables would break the budget of a film student. Even as a photo student we would spend countless money on film, paper and processing materials. I mean digital was just hitting the scene and we were actually one of the first studios in the area to offer the service. But even still, the system was strictly for in studio and the system was limited to medium format and 4x5 cameras. Even just the editing software available now is incredible! Well, needless to say you guys have renewed my interest and it's time to get back into the swing of things and pursue my film and photographic visions. Thanks for the push!

Toronto's best right here! It gives me hope, motivation and inspiration seeing how far both of you have come, both recently passing 100k etc. Keep smashing it boys! The sky is the limit 👏

This is excellent--thank you. Your point about taking a break and letting your subconscious solve a problem is really important. We are pattern recognition and problem solving machines. Focusing too hard stresses the process. I find that engaging my mind in other pattern recognition activities helps--reading poetry, playing music--exposes the mind to patterns and structures in the work of other artists.

Some people are just born to have these awesome skills. It’s great when people with raw natural talent discover their skills and make a living from it.

JR ALLI is an editing beast. I love his travel stuff. I'm having a hard time improving my cinematic sequences with limited free time (getting everything together artfully is difficult without a lot of planning for me).
