As a Canadian who fled Canada after I retired because I could not afford to live there any longer, I will say that this guy is 100% correct!

I moved to Canada as a single young man ( Edmonton )last year. I was doing not bad in my home country ( 3rd world ). I came to try to find a better future and a better country to raise a family, but I was all wrong. I’m working on 16.5$/hour pre tax, with barely paying rent, food, transportation and mobile data. I’ve been insulted 3 times during this year on transit by homeless and addicts that I’ve never met without any reason . One of them spit at me, one slapped me and one pulled a knife at me. I literally never met them and didn’t even look at them. I’ve even saw people for 3 times shit on the bus and LRT.There is no career development in this country, you’ll just keep on living from paycheck to paycheck with 0 savings. I go to work and get back home, I don’t go out because there is nothing to do especially in harsh winters, i ended up taking anti-stress pills. I’m really disappointed with Canada and I left a month ago for good on a one way ticket, there is no way to come back. It’s just the opposite of what is promoted about this country. It’s very expensive, a lot of people are homeless and addicts that could hurt you randomly, depressing weather with 0 social life and no career development. What a waste of money and time. My country which is a 3rd world country is way safer, enthusiastic and vital than Canada. The country is busy focusing on decriminalizing drugs and homosexuality rather than focusing on fixing drastic issues that are pushing the country to the edge, things that make Canada a good place for families and education for children.

I LIVED IN CANADA FOR 6 YEARS FROM 2011 TO 2017 AND I CONFIRM THAT ALL WHAT THIS GUY IS SAYING IS 100%TRUE. I ANTICIPATED THE CURRENT SITUATION AND I LEFT. TODAY I AM BACK IN MY HOME COUNTRY (FRANCE) AND I DONT REGRET IT.

You hit the nail on the head. As a born and raised Canadian, this is no longer the Canada I grew up in. Health Care is gone. Taxes are completely wasted and who knows where it goes. They do not care at all about the actual citizens who live here. If they slowed down immigration drastically it would actually benefit the people who are already here by forcing prices to come down as the supply and demand for housing would die down but instead they are creating a crisis by just flooding the immigration. I work in construction and the truth of that industry is that there is not enough people in it to even keep up with the current amount of construction going on. So when politicians speak of increasing the amount of construction it is a big joke because we're currently falling further behind the current construction on a daily basis. Even if they issued 15% more permits or whatever they speak on, who will actually build all that? It's not like they have a strategy to say lets slow down immigration, maybe bring in the actual people we need to be able to build the infrastructure first, and then maybe bring in some more people, you know that makes too much sense. Like you said, the politicians care about their own interests, they are influenced by a bigger agenda which serves them and not the current Canadians and especially not anyone trying to immigrate. If you were here before and already own something you're the tail end of the people that had the original Canadian life, what is available now is a scam. Canada as you may imagine it is no more. You can't own, no life balance, all people are worried about is paying bills, surviving. Might as well do it where you already are, this place is going downhill fast!

I came here 18 years ago, it was a country full of hope and opportunity. Canada today bares little resemblance to the country I arrived in. It’s truly heartbreaking

I like your honesty. I spent 12 years in Canada and felt the same way as you do. I used to call it "Canada is just a Brand with deceptive marketing". It looks so nice and cute and prestigious from the outside, but when you experience it, you find it is too restrictive and kills your dreams.

Bravo sir, as a life time Canadian, I cry for the Canada of my youth. You are absolutely correct in your thoughts.

I'm a Canadian living in Europe the past 20 years. After watching your videos and of course hearing about things first-hand, I will never move back.

I left Canada 4 years ago and haven’t regretted it even once. Cost of living is ridiculous. The plethora of laws being passed that limit your freedoms is overbearing and the taxes are suffocating. Not to mention all the “middle men” dipping their hands into your pockets, literally every time you do anything, from getting “certifications” to work at a job, do anything to build or modify a house and even simply owning a pet.

I was born and raised here in Canada. You have a better insight into the reality of our once great nation after a few years than most people who’ve lived here their entire lives.

I was born in Alberta 71 years ago. My parents both came from poor first generation Ukrainian / Canadian farmers. They worked hard and made a life for themselves and their children. We were not affluent enough to even think about a post secondary education, however, through hard work and determination, much of my generation became middle class and we've enjoy the fruits of our labor. When I see what's happening to this country today it saddens me. I realize that if my wife and I were starting out today with the same dreams we had 50 years ago, our chance of realizing those dreams would be almost nil.

I’m Canadian and I approve this message!!

You’re right! I had to go live back with my parents, at 31 years old! Because rent, insurance, taxes, food, car, it’s impossible to pay all of that alone with a salary of 20$/h…. It’s awful how it’s impossible to live in our own country 😔😔

Canada is a very different place than it was 20 years ago. I’ve lived here my entire life, 50 years, and I’m planning on leaving soon.

I was born in Canada 68 years ago
I hardly recognize the country I knew and loved….
If I was younger I would move to another country
I am vaccine injured and my age and health are not looking favourable to a move!
Canada used to have integrity, morals and an honest sense to help all Canadians make a better
I’m ashamed to say this is my country
Everything you said is spot on…….

Im born and raised Canadian. I live near Toronto and this information presented in the video is 100% correct and honest. i fully support it, and I’m glad to see new immigrants opinion on Canada and the recent way of life under our government. Its a mess from our east coast to west coast. 😢

I have been leaving in Canada for over 12 years. I studied here in Canada and I work here. I make close to 60% above the average Salary in Canada, But I feel poor. Mortgage is a total scam. Rent is absolutely ridiculous. But here is what is even more crazier. My monthly taxes are greater than my monthly rent . I'm serious. The total taxes deducted from my pay check every 2 weeks is greater than my monthly rent 😢😢😢
The system is designed to keep you working until you drop dead and go to a retirement prison.
Because Canadians don't know anything outside Canada, they think this is amazing. As an immigrant, I have seen better. I think this a total scam

You are spot on young man. I immigrated here with my mom from Croatia over sixty-three years ago and now I don't recognize this country anymore. I am currently working on getting my Croatian passport through descendance. As a retired individual I must consider that the cost of living will be substantially less there. An additional bonus is that I would have the ability to travel and live anywhere within the European Union if I so choose. It saddens me that I have to plan to leave my adopted country especially when I have so much personal history here. One has to adapt to survive no matter the age but I also want to live where I can still thrive...something everyone should have access to.

Being born and raised here I completely agree, you nailed it with the statement "everything costs a fortune as all your hard earned money is wasted by the government"

As an American that worked in Canada for several stints starting 15 years ago, the writing was on the wall. A tragic, if not pathetic, fall for a country of such rugged tradition and immense natural majesty.
