My son is on this show and has loved fishing since he was a child! He’s on Bob Cook’s boat Fat Tuna! Manny Pereira is my son and I’m very proud of him!

I grew up on the waterfront in Portland Maine. One thing I can tell you about wicked tuna is the prices that they claim these guys get is bs. Back in the 80’s, a large bluefin would bring upwards of $32-$37 per pound at the docks. The fishermen called them a new truck…

Me and my neighbors get together and watch this show every Sunday. My one neighbor always says what these guys are doing wrong all the time. I drink his bourbon and he makes me salami sandwiches, so he can stay in our club(Hank). The other neighbor lays on the floor and gets mad at me when I ask him to pause and rewind(Dan). The other neighbor lets us watch in his basement and he looks at the rest of us with a really perverted stare. I wish he would just come out of the closet already. It's 2022 bro(David)

Fish generally sell for $5 a lb. Thats really the base price to go off of. Certain times its 5-9. Anything over 10 is really good and doesn't happen all that much. The best outcome for the guys being on the show is getting fully booked for charters in the summer. That in of itself is worth getting on the show.

I live in the outer banks of N.C. I know many of the guys fishing in the series. Funny to hear of all the b.s that goes on. I'm glad that they seem pretty much unchanged. I'd attribute that to the Hard Core commercial fisherman that share the same docks. Throw in some others that fish around the world.

These net worths seem very low for the amount that they have mode from the show alone. Dude makes 100k an episode for something like 70 episodes and only has a 500k net worth?

Do you ever take people out on these boats? Just so they could see how it is to work. The rods, yeah, it's and how to catch a giant tuna. Please comment back and let me know. Thank you for all the episodes of this show.

Hmmmm $100, 000 per episode and a net worth of $500, 000 something doesn’t add up. I’ve read numerous articles that they make up to $2000 per

How can some of these guys make 100k per episode but have a net worth of 600k.

I notice the bigger the tuna the more head and tail gets cut and the price per pound goes lower. The quality is as good as some of the smaller tuna caught at the start of the show and paid $20 - $29 per pound. So I think the buyers are not being fair. I think they are playing with their incomes.

Dude this money is way off on some of the fish

The sea is running out of fish, despite nations’ pledges to stop it.

Only 10% of all large fish remain -
both open ocean species including tuna, swordfish, marlin and the large groundfish such as cod, halibut, skates and flounder-- left in the sea.

I can tell you that the tuna buyers are not paying for 100k per fish that might be market value but not what the people catching them make the most of have seen on the show is like 11000
