Classic Reuben sandwich

What you will need

2 slices of rye bread per sand
2 slices of Swiss cheese per sand
¼ cup Sauerkraut per sand
Aprox 3 tablespoons Thousand Island dressing per sand
Room temperate butter "unless you live in the arctic then soft butter"

1000 island dressing
1/3 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons ketchup
1/3 cup sweet pickle relish
Dash of Worcestershire Sauce
Pinch of salt
Pinch of ground black pepper
Combine in a small bowl and mix well
Seal with and extra with plastic wrap will keep a week or two in the fridge


Method
Butter 1 side of each slice of rye bread
Place in a large pan on medium heat buttered side down coat the top side with aprox 1.5 tablespoon of Thousand Island dressing spreading evenly boy not to heavy then place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each slice cook till golden brown on bottom side around 3 to 5 min slide in lil toaster or oven to keep warm and melt cheese real nice this is handy when making more than one sandwich.
Next place aprox ¼ cup of sauerkraut in the pan per sandwich "so 4 sand's 1 cup" and so on warm that on one side of the pan and place the corned beef onto the pan cook around 10 to 20 seconds each side depending on hotness of you pan and meat thickness fold your slices over each other to stager them making a even pile of meat for each sandwich.


Time for assembly
Remove one of your slices of toasted rye with melted Swiss form the toaster that was on warm then place ¼ lb of your cooked corned beef next ¼ cup sauerkraut then the top slice of bread form toaster.
Next get a sharp serrated knife press down on sandwich with one hand use knife in a slow sawing motion to cut through your Reuben take your time cut down in front and saw back towards your self slowly "you don't want to dissemble you sand"

@iRockagainst You can use as much or as little meat as you want, it looks like there is more meat there than there really is because the bread is so small.

Great and delicious sandwich! Of i don't have to wait St Patricks day to make it! heheh!!

I will make it someday but i will use smoked turkey meat instead of corned beef.

But anyway it looks really tasty!
