I learned from the video that the MIS process requires functional business processes to be completed. In MIS, there are several types of information systems accessible, including electronic platforms, transaction processing systems (TPS), and payroll systems.

From this video, I have learnt about the definition of Management Information System (M.I.S) and business process. Besides that, I also have learnt about types of Information Systems which are Transaction processing systems (TPS), Management Information systems (MIS), Decision Support Systems (DSS) and Executive support systems (ESS). TPS serve operational managers and staff, MIS serve middle management, DSS serve middle management and ESS support senior management. I also have learnt that these four information systems must work together in an integrative way so that the enterprise resource system can work excellently. Furthermore, I also have learnt about the four major applications which are enterprise systems, supply chain management systems (SCM), customer relationship management systems (CRM) and knowledge management systems (KMS).

1) business processes on how we know the steps, including their information, knowledge, material in global business.
2) learned about types of information systems which is TPS (inventory), MIS (taken the data from TPS), DSS (for middle manager that making a routine in particular decisions), and ESS ( specific software) . This all systems are working together.
3) learned about 4 major applications in management systems which is ERP, SCM, CRM, and KMS.

From this video, I have learn that Management Information Systems (MIS) teach us that the management of information systems provides efficiency and effectiveness of strategic decision making. I also learn that the relationship between business processes and information systems can be found in fast food restaurants when we are ordering food from the counter and the order will be send to the kitchen through information systems. Then, the role played by systems starts with sales, then accounting and manufacturing and production. Lastly, I know that the role of the information systems function in a business is to make the business process easier.

MIS focuses on the management of information systems to provide efficiency and effectiveness of strategic decision making. the concept may include systems termed transaction processing system, decision support system, expert system or executive information system.
