In this video, I had learnt how to use database management system (DBMS) to solve the problem of managing data resources in a traditional file environment such as data redundancy, data inconsistency, program-data dependence, lack of flexibility, poor security and lack of data sharing and availability. In DBMS it can interfaces between applications and physical data files and separates logical and physical views of data. Next is how to use databases to improve business performance and decision making. Last is we can manage data resources by establishing an information policy, ensuring data quality, data quality audit and data cleansing. Thank you Dr, for the sharing and explanation.

Through this video I learned DBMS provides data definition language DDL (Data Definition Language), user-defined database schema structure, two-level image, database constraints and restrictions and other constraints. DDL is mainly used to establish the library structure of the database. DBMS provides data manipulation language DML (Data Manipulation Language) for users to implement operations such as adding, deleting, updating, and querying data. The operation management function of the database is the operation control and management function of the DBMS, including concurrency control in a multi-user environment, security check and access restriction control, integrity check and execution, operation log organization management, transaction management and automatic recovery, Which guarantees the atomicity of the transaction. These functions ensure the normal operation of the database system.

For this video, I learn about importance database principles and the data hierarcy (course file, personal file and financial file). Next, DBMS solve problem of traditional file environment (control redundancy and enables organization to central manage data and data security). 3 basic operations used to develop useful sets of data (select, join and project), capacity of DBMS - data manipulation language( structured query language and miscrosoft access user tools for generating SQL) and managing data resource for long time (establish information policy - standardizing data and ensure data quality - redundancy data, inconsistent data and faulty input).

from this video i have learned that database is actually the compilation of file, record, field, entity and attributes. The weaknesses or problem with traditional files are, data easily get redundant because a lot of same information kept in several different files. Next is, the data become inconsistency because it is manually written and manually key in. This might be repeating same information. I also learned that Hadoop convert huge digital data and program it to specific format as for the users want it to be displayed at the dashboard so that user can easily analyze it.

From this learning video, I have learnt about the problems with the traditional file environment and how the database approach to data management, such as database and DBMS in order to controlling redundant data, reduce data redundancy and inconsistency by isloting files in which the same data are repeated. Next is the three basic operations of a relational DBMS used to develop sets of data which is select, join and project. All the big unstructured data in a company can approach business intelligence infrastructure in order to improve business performance and decisions making. Based on the video, i can learned on how the problems of managing data resources in a traditional file environment are solved by a database management system which has four concepts for the file organization which are file, record, database and also field. I also learned the difference between the organizing data in a traditional file environment and database system management. There are also tools and technology that access information. Lastly, there are also role of policies in order to access those information systems.
