I hate when abuse victims are asked “Why didn’t you just leave?”
Years of psychological abuse, fear and grooming changes the way you think and can make it impossible to flee

They both should go free. Those parents were monsters. They didn't deserve to be killed, but their sons have served more than enuf years behind bars.

Dear Lyle we believe you, only they knew his evil dad their brain didn’t develop normally due to the abuse that they endured in their childhood they are truly survivors . JUSTICE for them

I recommend people watch the first full trial on court tv to get a better understanding of the specifics on how these brothers were raised. It explains a lot. With the kind of upbringing they had & the level of abuse that was still going on, I can totally see how they would be in fear of their lives.

This interview was pretty tacky. Free the menendez brothers. It’s time we start exposing this shit!

I don't fully understand the in's and out's of how trauma manifests so I will reserve my comments on how they should have responded. I do at least understand that trauma and PTSD doesn't always allow one to act and operate of sound mind. With that said, I do believe that they were abused 110%.

It’s so frustrating the brothers have to keep repeating the truth over and over when they’ve never changed their “story” and evidence has only continued to mount in their favor but people still believe the first of the dozen bullshit stories the prosecution threw at the wall.

These men deserve to be free. They’ve served their time. Let them live the rest of their lives in peace.

Probably watching how unsympathetic the TV presenter on the video to Lyle, Eric made the right choice refusing the interview with him

Any sexual abuse little of any kind can mess with someone mentally. So for someone to say the abuse wasn't that bad. You're not in that person's head. It didn't happen to you. The littlest thing could be the worst thing to a person. Some people are strong. Some people are not.

If their trial was today they wouldn’t have been convicted of first degree murder. We understand abuse better now and how it’s pretty much impossible for victims to tell. They have served over thirty years they deserve to be free for what remains of their lives.

Poor baby has suffered long enough. I want to hug Lyle so much and tell him he isn’t alone.

I'm so glad him and his brother is in the same prison. Imagine everything that they have gone through. And now they both are alone because they separated them in 1996. So I'm glad that they are reunited.❤❤❤❤

No one would have helped them….. they deserve to be free.

These two brothers deserve to be free now. They’re not a danger to society so it’s downright disgusting & unfair. What is going to change keeping them in there. They’ve already done over 25 years. If they lived in Canada where I’m from they would’ve been out now even if they had no parole they’d probably out by now. Sad !

They didnt work and relied on their parents home and money. They were young victims and maybe it was just hard to leave...to go where. And with their dad having so much power who would helped them and life would been worse.

The person interviewing is gross. He needs to be fired

Who decides that the abuse wasn't so bad ? It's abuse... and abuse is BAD. Though that doesn't justify murder, there is nothing as "not so bad" about any abuse.

Part of me believes them, i didnt have the best childhood but was never sexually abused. I have however been in an abusive relationship, can you easily go to the police? No. I had 2 young children and it took me 2 years to escape him, if he beat me he would do school runs etc. With me so i couldnt go to the police, once brusises etc. Were healed... no evidence. When i left him he ran off with my 2 kids for 3 months, I ended up with ptsd and needing therapy.

Where abuse is concerned (physical, emotional, mental... etc.) Its not easy and simply going to the police isnt always easy especially when you have a rich dad who can write it all.off with money. Maybe they thought murder was their only option....
