Menendez Brothers SPEAK OUT from Prison for 1st Time in Decades

Netflix documentary. Lyle and Erik murdered their parents Jose and Kitty Menendez in 1989, a case that became a tabloid obsession and one of the most infamous criminal trials in American history. The brothers claimed they were horribly abused by their father. I can’t believe the prosecutor has the nerve to show face and talk. After the blatant refusal to have any sympathy for or even believe the sexual abuse the menendez brothers went through. That prosecutor is awful. People don’t kill like that JUST over money. That was clearly an abusive situation

When Barbara Walters said they murdered their parents for money in the 1996 interview, and Erik said we already had money, and she said "more money", I literally felt sick in the pit of my stomach. It was an utterly derailed, biased and pathetic assertion with no basis in fact.

They have court November 29th 2024. I really hope they’re released. suffering in your own home and when you defended yourself, you’re thrown in prison for the rest of your life. Justice for the Menendez Brothers

A lot can change in 35 years. Lyle and Erik served their time and worked to become better versions of themselves while in prison, from completing their education to supporting other inmates who were also abused. Please, give them a second chance 💙🧡

Im keeping my fingers crossed for these guys. I can see them making a podcast channel on youtube and see it taking off when they get out. Theyve had a long, rough journey and i hope theyll be able to spend the last bit of their life on their terms. They deserve it, theyve done enough time.

I will always be disgusted by how this case was handled. Lyle's prosecutor, Pam Bozanich, argued that "men could not be r*ped, because they lack the necessary equipment to be r*ped”. Yep, that’s an actual quote she presented to the jury 😒😒😒
Parents are suppose to protect their children at all costs, Kitty and Jose just cared about image and made both of their son's lives a living hell from the immense violence and the SA they inflicted on their sons to the impossible expectations for them to be perfect at school and sports. The ACTUAL trial depicts an accurate account of the events. Unlike Ryan Murphy’s and Netflix’s crappy attempt at a biopic. Do I think it was OK that they killed their parents? No, of course not, but this is also a very very complex case, and one where I get so tired of hearing, "Why didn't they just leave? They were grown men!". If you look up Battered Wife Syndrome, PTSD, grooming, trauma bonding; it's a real thing. The brothers were so panicked and afraid of their father after threating to expose him for the atrocious abuse he inflicted on them since they were just kids, that they acted in what they felt was their only option. If they didn’t kill their parents, Jose would have 100 percent had both of them killed and made it look like an accident because that’s just how powerful, rich and narcissistic he was. There also would of been more innocent victims of SA like Roy Rossello. I really hope there is justice for the Menendez brothers, they have been punished enough by having their childhood taken from them in the most vile way possible.
