In Ocarina of Time, I noticed can dodge the scythe trap room in the Shadow Temple in some creative ways.
•Crouch guarding
•Rolling
•Hopping onto the wooden obstacles
•Jumping, side-hopping or backflipping from the wooden obstacles
•Hookshotting
•Swinging the Megaton Hammer (even works when swinging it horizontally)
•Jump attacking so the blades pass over you
•Deku Nuts
•Diagonal Slash (but only if you do the whole combo)
•a Thrust with Giant's Knife or Biggoron's Sword
•Backflipping or side-hopping while hovering from one of the wooden obstacles (probably the hardest to do)

Vs Vah Ruta, instead of using arrows to destroy ice cubes it throws at you, you can also use your Cryonis to destroy those cubes. Same goes for Waterblight Ganon's ice cubes.
Also, try looking behind small gaps in your furniture, maybe your copy of BOTW is behind those hard to reach places.

"Twinkle, twinkle, little cucco. Gold for me, but not for you-o." That's what the golden cucco says in Twilight Princess.

I'm not sure how well this is known, but should you dare the Cave of Ordeals a second time, along with stronger and/or an increased number of enemies, you will find the Postman on the 49th floor. I think he says something like, "I can't find it. It must be around here somewhere."

1:18 That only works in certain locations, not on every Guardian

I remember reading that the Cuckoos in Twilight Princess aren't an Add-in they are a Left-over from Windwaker and Early Development where they did plan to allow you to control some animals, and the cuckoo was the test, they didn't like the mechanic so they took it out, and left the Cuckoo in as a sort of Easter Egg. The Boars not being able to speak might be because they are Beasts/Monsters created from the chaos of the universe lacking Wisdom as opposed to being made by Nayru.

Im pretty sure that The Basement makes sure to tell people that they are using mods in their videos, they were not claiming that it was in the vanilla game.

I hope you find your lost copy of botw soon. It sucks when your games go missing.

So you can't tame a Lynel in TotK or BotW, but while mounting them you can swing away with your melee weapon without fear of them breaking even if they're one swing away from doing so. This makes those weapons that get an attack boost when they're about to break extremely effective against them so long as you remember to switch to a different weapon after being thrown off.

On the other hand you can "tame" a Lynel in the new Echoes of Wisdom. In the Sacred Forest (known in the other games as the Lost Woods) you can find find a set of tracks near the waypoint within. By following those tracks around the woods you will end up in a clearing where a single Lynel waits for you. Note that you have to follow the tracks around as just heading to the clearing won't prompt the Lynel to appear. Expectedly this will be a tough fight, but by using your strongest echoes and your swordfighter form you can prevail. Once defeated the Lynel will leave his echo behind for you to collect, granting you a powerful fighter to summon once Tri's level is high enough.

Bomb a Gossip stone in Ocarina of Time. It will blink different colors (red/green) before shooting off into the sky like a rocket, and then regrowing.
Hit the Gossip Stone when it is a different color for that split second (I think I used Deku Stick), and it will stay that color. I think players doing this is what inspired a little minigame somewhere in Majora's Mask where you do this

Some myths about Navi's personality in game and theories. They work in both versions of the game:
When we meet Princess Zelda and look at the window, Navi runs in front and snoops along with us. As soon as Ganondorf looks at us, it is possible to see Navi quickly hiding in fear of him LOL
There is a theory that Ganondorf also had prophetic dreams like Deku Tree thought were happening to beings in Hyrule. And Navi near the end of the game, realizing that a forest boy with a fairy would be something notable for Ganondorf's dreams, decided to say goodbye to Link..

Another notable thing in the scenes at the end of the game is when Navi says goodbye to Link. It is possible to notice that Navi flies to the window but turns around and "waits staring at Link and the Master Sword" while we go to meet Zelda. In the n64 versions it is harder to see but it happens mainly if you are playing mods that change the color of the fairy or increase the resolution and screen size. The fairy stands in the middle of the temple's windows. And in the 3DS version with some zoom you can see her turn around!
For me this adds a touching moment to the end (along with something that Navi must have said while she was walking around Link and we don't know for sure) as if perhaps she made Link go after Zelda while she waited for him there or nearby. While in the previous theory she knew that she had to say goodbye forever to the boy and his adventure that ended, to save Hyrule..

0:39 I discovered it while fooling around, I figured it would be funny to stasis a guardian from a distance. Then he fell through the ground!!!😂😂😂

If you ever wanna do another one of these in TOTK if you go to Mekar island it spawns a bunch of stal bokonslins in BOTW but in TOTK it spawns gloom hands instead of stal enemies like in BOTW

1:10 you can also do this on the Guardians in Hyrule Castle Town Ruins, without even waking them up first. If you Stasis the ones that are sitting (like the one in Central Square and the one on the steps right inside the front gate), they'll fall through the terrain when Stasis runs out, because in their sitting pose, they're halfway in the ground already, and Stasising them in this state causes some weird bug with their collision. When I did it, the one on the stairs did a full spin until it was upside-down, and the one in the square just dropped. This does NOT work on the Decayed Guardians outside the Castle Town walls, nor on ones that are already mobile like the ones in Hyrule Field; only on Guardians that are sitting and can wake up and start chasing you

Also you can launch the Guardian Stalker in Lanayru Wetlands into the sky with Cryonis. Make a Cryonis block to stand on, wait for the Guardian to get near you, then shoot it in the eye to stun it. While it's stunned, make another Cryonis block directly underneath it, then backflip/sidehop/jump off the block you're standing on and go into bullet time *while* the Cryonis block under the Guardian is being formed. The Guardian will go flying if you get it right, through some weirdness in how the slowed-down time during bullet time interacts with the physics of the Guardian being lifted up by the Cryonis block

3:45 the overall creative force behind TP was basically A) "So they didn't like Wind Takt, eh? They want a game more realistic? Well, we'll give em that" and B) "They want more Ocarina of Time, eh? Well let's mess with them a little"
everything about it sort of followed those lines, you go to a forest dungeon, then fire, then water.. but the fire one hints at bombs, but doesn't give them to you. and the water one fakes you out with Morpha but it's actually something else. You get not only a wooden shield but a wooden SWORD, and then... immediately never use them again. It's all riffing. The change in the kokko behavior is just one of those things meant to fake you out, I think.
4:40 I am AMAZED that that is true. How did I never think of it? how did I never read about it in online guides when I was struggling?
13:50 no shock, his legs are so small. he can't be kicking you as he rolls.
14:00 just to be pedantic, you can totally save the day without him XD it's just hard. Also holy hell, that glitch is awesome! I wish his spirit form in TotK let you ride on his back in water. Would have realllly saved time.
16:30 it's salt water, of course it doesn't work.

The guardians terrify me, especially after my Wolf Link died from one of their laser blasts trying to protect me but knowing I can easily dispose of them by using statis makes me feel more confident.

A very interesting mechanic in Wind Wakeer is how certain monsters and animals end up on land in the overworld. If you play the Sun's Song near pigs and some enemies, upon the transition (day to night/night to day), they literally drop down onto the overworld from the skies. It is pretty funny once you see it.
