I was listening to the announcements at my church this Sunday and just blown away by all the programs they offer. The culture of busyness is everywhere. And i do struggle with guilt that we are opting out and living a simpler life. Thank you for the sweet, gentle reminders ❤️

I work at a preshool, and busyness, keeping the children busy, incursions, excursions, events, festivals, everything is celebrated. I used to think it was great, but the last few years as I notice more and more children with anxiety, I stop and think 'no' we are doing this all wrong. Thanks for the reminder.

I love your title: extreme simplicity. That gives me so much peace. I recently resigned by exec level corp job to continue in my coaching business. I needed extreme simplicity. I keep my routines and food and exercises and clothing as simple as possible. Work on one thing a day. No complex exercise routines. Just everything as basic and simple and straightforward as possible. Thank you for your amazing content! 💛

Very helpful video for where I am at right now. I am a Mom to a almost 2 year old boy and I am a very ambitious person. Since having my baby I have really struggled with not having structure in my day to day and often overload my day with more tasks or projects that I can ever complete (which I see now only further discourages me because I feel like I didn't get everything done that I "needed" to.)

One of the most helpful things for me lately has been "themed days". The idea is that each day of the week has an over arching theme that I use to plan my day with 3 main goals that I would like to complete that day (ie. Meal planning and shopping, cleaning day, etc.) This has been so helpful for me mentally to know all I have to do is focus on one area of my life each day instead of multiple different projects. I find that I can focus better and actually look forward to each day because I know what to except. Also having 3 manageable goals helps me remain positive in reaching my goals because I don't have this endless to do list hanging over my head every day. Once I finish my tasks for the day I can use any leftover time working on hobbies or more enjoyable tasks and still feel accomplished! I hope this help someone too because it has been a game changer for me! Thank you for this video!

I moved into the minimalism space about 2010 and haven't looked back. Less is truly best for me. It's calmer and quieter. Reducing how much stuff I had, the clothes in my closet, my books down to a curated, high value few - all were steps I took that improved my quality of life bit by bit.

The biggest step I took though was just 2 years ago when I gave up owning a car. When I look at the pace of my life now, how authentic I am, how happy I am, how peaceful and relaxed I am, I know this was the biggest change that I made and had the highest pay-off.

The quality of my life experiences increased when I gave up owning a car. The convenience of owning a car and having access to every person who extends an invite, every excursion that is happening all over the city, and every event diminishes the value of attending all of them. By making access less convenient, I have higher quality friends and higher value experiences.

Honestly, your videos are changing my life and getting me back to who I used to be, who I've always been. I let commitments, materialism and other "good things" get in the way of what really matters to me. Thank you for what you're doing, truly <3

YES! Thank you. I have told people that minimalism is about keeping what is essential to me, but then non-minimalists argue with me that minimalism is about not owning anything, and essentialism is separate. I keep stating that they work hand in hand together. Beautiful video. Keep it up.

We have five kids all but one are out of the house daycare school and apprenticeship by 9. I was used to hustling and rushing and being productive for almost two centuries and it started with our fourth child I just didn’t want to do it anymore. Now I prioritize my mental health by living in the present moment enjoying a walk wirh the dog time with my last baby then a hot cup of coffee with my husband when we get home before a spurt of productivity during the first nap and tell you what I get more done now than I seemed when my days where filled with rushing worrying and „keeping up“. My children are calmer and happier and when life does get crazy or sends a curve ball we all manage as a family and help each other out. ❤ slow living for the win 🥇

Love this perspective on minimalism! It’s a great reminder that living with less can bring so much clarity and freedom. Minimalism looks different for everyone, but i like your approach. Thanks for sharing such an inspiring journey!

I always love your message, it is so right on and meaningful. At 66, how do I keep my life simple? I retired from work in county mental health at 62. This was during Covid. I was burned out as a licensed therapist. I stopped saying yes to everyone and everything and just stopped. I moved from California to North Carolina in June and live simply and spend time with my grandkids. I try to live mindfully and prayerfully. Keep sending your message, the world desperately needs to hear it right now!🙏🏻

The two books you mentioned are the best. I read them because you have mentioned them often and i have passed them on to my family members. Your so right, it's not all about the clutter. It's a lifestyle and one we have to work on everyday. On another note, your helping me help my mom to simplify and declutter, lol. Think Swedish deth cleanse, but gently. 😂

I’m in the slow early stages and lately I’ve just been “letting go of the rest” I’m trying to use my favorite and best versions of things I have and trying to let go of the rest. Once I use up the best I move to the second best until I can have less and have only my favorites. It’s not extreme it’s not fast but it’s working for me.

I try to only do one social friend thing a week so I don’t overfill my mental, emotional, and physical cup. That way also, you can really enjoy your time with whomever you see.

I had my ahah moment 9 years ago when I learned that we were about to have our 5th kid (not expected). I felt overwhelmed and felt an urge to simplify to get through the first months that can be so exhausting. That is this idea of being here for my kids that helps me keep going ever since.
You are so blessed to have figured that out wait sooner than me ! Thank you for your beautiful videos full of beautiful messages ❤

I'm going to read Essentialism! I love that you reference John Mark Comer a lot too. That book changed my life!
