What state or salary do you want to see next? 🤝👇

A perfect storm is brewing in the United States. Inflation, bank collapse, severe drought in the agricultural belt, recession, food shortages, diesel fuel and heating oil shortages, baby formula shortages, available automobile shortages and prices, the price of living place. It's all coming together and it could lead to a real disaster towards the end of this year (or sooner). With inflation currently at about 6%, my primary concern is how to maximize my savings/retirement fund of about $300k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.

I live we in Ct. make $31 an hour doing hvac. If I work more than 45 hours a week the state digs deeper into my pockets. Hate it here

I live in CT but sadly I don't make 100k, less than 50k, and even then taxes still hurt me!

I live in CT and it actually feels more like 40% of my money is taken away in taxes 😢

Now ask yourself, “did I receive $30, 000 worth of services during the year for my tax dollars?”

I feel it. People don’t realize, in South Eastern Fairfield County….. $100k isn’t much. There are so many people making $7 figures or more

Thats actually spot on. I’m a single guy here in CT, I file zero, make 100k, now add on property tax, emissions, license renewal, registration renewal, rent, electricity, cell phone, internet, cable, groceries, dental insurance, medical insurance, healthcare savings account, 401k, roth IRA, and hey look! Tax season is right around the corner! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱🇺🇸😂😢

Yup, don't forget the sales tax and gas tax, plus all the property taxes. Fun fun. My 100k was closer to 40% gone before what I mentioned above.

As someone who's lived and worked in both Connecticut & Massachusetts I don't really believe the taxes are this low. It's basically 40% -50% . Remember they tax your tax refund. The have property tax. They have a car tax. You have to pay to use certain roads. sales tax. Essentials like gas have an extra high hiden tax on them. In Massachusetts you can't attend higher education unless you pay a few thousand health insurance first. (idk If ct has that) There are all sorts of hidden taxes everywhere to perform basic tasks in society. If you don't pay thousands of dollars in health insurance they tax you in your tax return for not having health insurance.

Then after all that you only have about 50, 000k to play with. You can't live off of that. That's next poverty. You can't afford a house, a car, saving for retirement, children ect on that. If ONLY taxes where 30% if ONLY. it's not though.

Also let's remember income tax wasn't a thing until democrats voted it to be a thing. before democrats- only corporations were taxed. We had schools, roads, and a military and everything without taxing the everyday normal person. I wish we could return to a simpler time. However everybody wants free education and free health care. We will never escape the enslavement of overtaxation if everyone wants "free stuff."
