Thanks for the informative video! I sneak spirulina into savory vegan crepes, chocolate cupcakes and a spicy green soup (made from left greens or broccoli). I also like to mix the powder with water, make ice cubes and add to my sweet lemon- fresh mint iced tea:)

Thank you for the great health info, Kate. This is the smoothie I plan to do with spirulina once I've ordered it from Food to Live: 1 avocado, 1 banana, some spinach leaves, some chia seeds, lemon juice, water, and 1 teaspoon of spirulina. If the smoothie's too thick, add water. If too thin, add some more slices of banana. I can visualize how creamy this smoothie will be, in vibrant green! Great for physically active adults. I bet kids will give this a try if we'd say, "Would you like a mermaid smoothie?"

I also use spirulina in my smoothie. My recipe: almond milk, frozen cauliflower, spirulina, blueberries, cocoa powder and monk fruit extract.
I believe that spirulina deserves its reputation as a superfood and love its rich deep color. I love this video because it shows how easy it is to include spirulina in ones diet.

This reminds me I used to use the spirulina powder on salads or steamed vegies as condiment with other favorite toppings. It's so good for the teeth- so healing- the green color & the green tasty nourishment.

Hi! Appreciate all the information about Spirulina on this video. I am not very familiar with this powder yet, but I have been buying your products and (when I win the contest!) I plan on incorporating a spoonful of spirulina into my power breakfast! Here is my current recipe to start the day "fully loaded": I grind 1-2 tbsp of flax seeds and 1 tbsp of black sesame seeds in a coffee grinder. To the grind I add 1 tbsp of chia seeds and mix it with the freshly squeezed juice and pulp of a large orange. This is the base, and from there sometimes I add 1 tsp of tumeric, finely chopped fresh ginger and squirt of lemon juice. I always top it with a handful of blueberries, and then any other berry or fruit available that day, as well as sunflower seeds, walnuts or sliced almonds. I cant wait to continue experimenting! Be well!

Thank you. I love adding spirulina to my morning green smoothie. 1 cup unsweetened organic coconut milk, 1 teaspoon spirulina, 1 generous handful of fresh organic baby kale, 1 frozen banana, 3-4 ice cubes. For extra sweetness you can add a date or a slice of pineapple.

I put Spirulina in my Morning Smoothie everyday, actually I also put Chia Seeds and Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder in there, go figure..lol
I make a Vegan Holiday Treat Box and one of my recipes includes Spirulina (These are actually perfect for Halloween too!)
I call them Cocolina Spiruloons, Faery Moss Balls or Mermaid Poop
3/4 cup Coconut Flakes, unsweetened
2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
2 Tbsp Applesauce, unsweetened
1 1/2 Tbsp Agave Nectar
1 1/2 Tbsp Almond Flour
1 Tbsp Coconut Flour
1 Tbsp Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder
1 3/4 tsp Spirulina Powder
A pinch of Salt
A couple drops Almonds Extract
*Optional 2 Tbsp Chia Seeds, ground (for rolling half of the Balls in)
All you have to do is combine all the ingredients and then roll them into 8 scant Tbsp sized Balls and then chill to set in the Freezer or Refrigerator

I love to put spirulina in my ice cream: Frozen bananas, ginger juice, favorite nuts, shredded coconut, little protein powder. I like to put this in my food processor to blend .... delicious. I always put it in my smoothies as well. Sometimes I just eat the spirulina tablets.

I love making a tuna chickpea salad and I usually use nori or dulse flakes. Could use spirulina as a super replacement. May trun very green but that's okay it's my favoire color anyways lol
2 cans of chickpeas
1/3 to a 1/2 cup of mayo- can make mayo using the aquafaba from the can of your chickpeas.
Spirulina to taste of your preferred flavor 1 to 2 tsp.
2 stalks of celery with the leaves
lots of freshly ground black pepper
1/2 tsp celery salt
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 cup of chopped onion.

I throw everything into the food processor. Each whole food ingredient I pulse then add to my mixing bowl. It comes together quickly. My favorite way to enjoy it is on a bagel with cheese melted in the toaster oven and fresh tomatoes.

I've been using spirulina for years for health reasons at first and then i got creative and started with smoothies, spirulina raw-bars, cakes, cookies and more. My favorites are spirulina bark (candy) and spirulina ice cream. The candied bark is made with 1 cup spirulina, 1 1/2 cups organic coconut sugar, 1 pinch himilayan salt, 1/2 cup crushed pecans & 1/2 cup crushed walnuts, 1/2 cup organic black currant powder and a few drops of water to kneed it into a ball. Roll out with a rolling pin and dehydrate until hard or you can shape it and leave in the frig until it hardens like a "fudge". Slice into pieces and enjoy!
The ice cream is...1 cup spirulina, 1 cup cacao powder, 1/2 cup goji berry powder, pinch of himilayan salt, 1 cup of "powdered" coconut sugar...In a bowl mix all ingredients with 1 cup yacon syrup (yacon syrup registers at only ONE gylcemic index) untill thin and set aside. In a bag crush whatever nuts you like and a pinch of himalayan salt in a bag. Shake the bag to mix and set aside. FREEZE 6-12 whole bananas with inserted wooden popsicle sticks. Dip the "frozen bananas in the sweet chocolaty spirulina mix and roll in the crushed nuts. Place each one on a cookie sheet with parchment paper and stick back in the freezer for at least 2 hours. Once fully frozen you can pull one out when you please and ENJOY! :D You can also make a "bon bon" version of these by cutting the bananas into small pieces without the sticks!

I love Spirulina Powder soooo much use it almost daily!!  Here are some everyday recipe and holiday treat idea 👇
But I also love just sprinkling on my salad💓💓

*Beauty Elixir
-1 tsp Spirulina Powder
-1 tsp Chlorella Powder
-1 tsp Pearl Powder (or your choice of superfood/adaptogen powder!)
-1/4 cup Hemp Seeds
-pinch of Himalayan Pink Salt
-2 cups water
Blend everything in high speed blender till it gets smooth.  Drink it up straight or run it through a mesh strainer for smoother texture.  (Add Food to Live Organic Raw Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder for extra protein boost!)

*Christmas Tree Cut-out Cookies
Sugar cookie frosting:
-1 cup Powdered Sugar
-2 tbsp Room temperature European Style Butter (or Vegan alternative)
-1  tsp Spirulina Powder mixed with 1 tsp Water, plus some drops of water as needed.
Cream the butter and mix in powdered sugar.  Start adding a small amount of Spirulina Powder and water mixture and make a desired color green and stop. Continue adding drops of water until you achieve desired consistency of your cookie frosting.   Repeat the same method with the same ingredients to make the other color for ‘bush part of the tree with Goji Powder.

Easy Cutout Sugar Cookie:
-1 cup All-purpose Flour
-1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
-1/4 tsp Baking Soda
-1/2 cup European Style Butter (or Vegan alternative)
-1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract Pre-heat oven to 350F.
Cube the butter (or Vegan alternative).  Place all the rest of the ingredients except vanilla in the food processor, and pulse to combine.  Add the cubed butter  (or Vegan alternative) along with vanilla, continue to pulse.  You can add more flour or some drops of water to adjust the consistency.  Wrap the dough and rest it in the refrigerator for 30 mins. Once the cookie dough is chilled, remove from the fridge and roll out about 1/4” thickness.  Use a Christmas tree shaped cookie cutter and cutout the shape.  Space it on the baking pan and bake for 8-10 mins.  When cooled, decorate using the Spirulina Powder Frosting and Goji Powder Frosting!

I will use it in my Instant Pot with beans and rice. Just add it after the beans and rice are cooked and let sit for 10 minutes. Then serve and enjoy!
