I agree. Adaptability is key. Especially in this day and age where technology grows in a very fast pace. It just shows that you’re an individual willing to learn regardless of any given circumstances.

Great video! Ability to adapt to is definitely critical and it's also very much an umbrella term used for many different things. This question can also be answered by defining job role and rank/seniority. For example, if you're just starting out, the most critical skill is going to be your technical ability. You want to know how to write clean code and how to Google the right questions. As you progress through your career ladder, skills, needs, requirements, and responsibilities change. At the management level it may become less important to code and more important to coordinate/communicate. Many aspects of engineering remain fairly static - this is partly why we still have legacy languages in use today. This is why C and Java are still very much relevant today as they were twenty years ago. If you're more on the developing side working with apps and front-ends - ability to adapt and learn new variants of languages or new microservices becomes more important.

The worst thing you can do is have a very basic understanding of several languages without a comprehensive knowledge of one. It will hamstring your career.

I am completely with you, I always didn't understand people telling - oh, I will use only C or Python, or C++. I was also lucky enough because my manager told, you can use a library of your choice or create such, and I did it.

I definitely agree with the ability to adapt! I discuss this in some of my internship videos because as college students/new grads it’s especially important to adapt because there is so much out there to learn!

Typing. Learn to touch type. Then streams of thought are more likely to make it to the screen. Watching someone hunt and peck in a zoom meeting for instance is sooo painful.
